Default xB and my driving thoughts

So I was driving down the 17 North yesterday and sure there a little bit of a cross wind from the west. Nobiggie right so I am cruising along at nice comfortable speed with the flow of traffic which all know what that is here in PHX.

I noticed that while driving with one hand was not working very well when after the time a semi came by the left of me and all of sudden my xB was literally pushed to the right of the road by the sheer wind and force of the semi next to me. Then I get a call from a friend that is driving behind me and she asks me if I am okay and why am I swerving all over the road like that. My response it isnt me the wind is doing this.

So we get through all that and I am driving again this time with both hands on the steering wheel and have to left off the gas and it waslike I hit a brick wall and I went backwards. Seriously that is what it felt like.

The moral of the story is this. Im sorry Dan and Dave for giving you so much grief on the trip back from Tucson when that Semi was riding all over me. I do now know and understand that driving a box is lot harder than it looks and you have to pay attention all the time. I understand when you said you are giving her all she has got!!

Man,I cant wait to get my tC back and feel more stable

I had that same problem when it was raining last sat. My xb was getting pushed all over the road from the wind. The car isn't very arodynamic but I wouldn't trade it for anything else. I love my xb

Default Winds

Just remember the faster you are traveling in a forward motion the harder it is to move in a sideways direction (some physics law)......................
SOO put the pedal down and deal with the wind !!!!!

I drive about 3000 miles a month all over the state in my box and it does'nt bother me much anymore

As for being on a bike TWIST THE WICK !!!!!!and cut through the wind !!!!!

My 1992 isuzu rodeo was worse in crosswinds, but the box does get pushed around some. I actually expected it to be worse than it is.

Hey Chad, don't blame the box and your inability to take control, you just need to work out them wimpy ___ arms of yours , I can show you how if you want. Just kiddin Chad, I was actually telling people about your horror story, it was too funny to keep to myself.

I think it's just indicative of a true "driver's car". Maybe it's just too much ride for certain people?
