Ok before all you guys go and start talking about stuff that you don't know the truth about:

I DO NOT WANT ANY OF SE/C TO JOIN MY SCIKOTICS CHAPTER.
Nor have I in anyway tried to persuade anyone to join Scikotics that were in SE. I talked to one person in SE about it bc another Scikotic from out of town came in and told me that he wanted to join, so I went up and talked to him. Turns out he was never interested in joining. We are nothing like SE nor do we wanna be like them. I had talked to Carl when I was at a show (he wasn't rockin the SE decals at all and told me he wasn't in a club) and told him about Scikotics and he wanted to join. I know he talked to some of his friends in SE and they decided to come over.

The post about Scikotics in Chicago was a post to get the members on SL who WERE NOT IN A CLUB to check us out!! Sorry you have competition now and you don't want it. Life sucks, get over it!!

We are all Scion owners and joined a club for the same reasons, I don't know why NONE of the SE/C members can understand that??? Its bizzarre!

I had my choice of either Scikotics or SE/C when I met them in Ames, IA for the 3.0 show. I chose Scikotics bc they were actually friendly and wanted to talk to you. The people representing SE at that show didn't want anything to do with anyone and acted like their ____ doesn't stink.

The point that i'm trying to get accross to you SE members who will turn this into major drama is.... don't come to Scikotics.. we are a club that is for people who have other things going on besides the club, ie.. family, gf, bf, work etc... And we don't want any of the SE members to join us and bring drama into our club.

I'm so sorry if this offends you but you guys will say whatever's on your mind so why can't we??? I know this will probably be locked bc of the MODORATOR'S and SE guy so whatever.

WE ARE ALL SCION OWNERS AND IN CLUBS FOR A REASON!!! that's all that should matter. Remember its the cars that bring us togeather but its the people who make the time spent worth while.

 

I think its funny that our Scikotics in Chicago post isn't blocked anymore and all the negitive posts are deleted. Say your mind and leave it!!

 

The negative posts were not removed by the people who posted their comments, they were removed by me. I also cleaned this thread up. and left only the first and last post.

Let's keep this clean. Further inflammatory posts or topics between these two clubs will result in the topics being removed.

Well I'm in SE and i don't mind that you guys are opening up a Chapter here in Chi-Town. I welcome it, it's koo to have more car enthusiats come around and show their stuff.

JayDizzle you just have to realize that there are going to be some people who are going to act stupid and try to start stuff, just pay them no mind.

Honestly people lose sight of the fact that car clubs are started for people who have a passion for cars and like to invest time and money into them. Some people try to turn it into a rival with anyone who comes on their turf. F*#& that, i know i joined bkuz i put a lot of time and money into my ride and enjoy being around others who are the same. I love going to shows and showing my work just as well as seeing what other people have to offer, its as simple as that.

ok the post has been cleaned and I DID NOT really go insane over it but I can not let this go unsaid.

I am a proud member of SE:Chicago. I do alot for the community as well as any scion that comes my way. One of the things I am doing is hosing an all day scion photoshoot for ANYONE. In the topic I spoke to the work of dwestxb. I spoke to the fact that I was a designer myself and I could do what he does, as well as bcherry but it would be nowhere near the quality of Dave's.

Yesterday, bcherry, unknowing of the sponsered sales rules, posted that he would be interested in doing "battleboards" for anyone that goes to the event as well. He was not aware that the name Battleboards was not for public use... nor was I. After he made the post, he txt'ed me and told me that he would like me to delete it. I was at work so I was unable to do this. By the time I went on lunch I saw the post was edited and I also recieved a pm from dwestxb. It stated that he would like his product, that i was advertising for him in my post for my event, pulled off.

I responded:

I had the intent to remove these from the post when I arrived home from work. (limited access on my phone) When I arrived home, I went back to see what I actually typed about his product... What did I find? Since the images I was using to advertise for his product were from his photobucket page, he was able to do a horrible thing. He changed the images that I was hosting, for him, to a picture of 12 nude women. Keep in mind that this image would be viewed by anyone that pressed on the link in my sig. I have been sponsered by a Scion dealership for this event and they were telling their customers about this link. THEIR customers! My customers! that was my name that was defaced by this shameless act.

How did I react? I did not post up that i hated him of that scikotics was aweful, rather i did the right thing by moving the post to a mod only area. With the help of the mods, max, the post was cleaned and replaced.

Again, I have done nothing more than help the scion community. I advertised for this member of scikotics, and by doing this he even offered a 25% discount to anyone that attended my shoot. Which I commended in a post right after his. I was excited that members were getting excited and helping ME out.

I was not given a fair chance to remove this post and I appologize that i did not do it right away.

Today I recieved a reply back to my pm to dwestxb:

This reply is almost as if he had done nothing wrong. I contacted Raul last night to ask for his advice on the situation and we agreed that we would not let it get out of hand.

I would like to say that we all make mistakes, SE and Scikotics. So when i see these posts with people ragging out other people it upsets me because it I sat behind the computer all day I could make it look like no one was ever at fault for anything, but as jaydizzle stated... we all have family's, jobs, gfs, and other interests.

I really hope that there are no more attacks on me like this. I have not taken this any further with the mods because I know it will turn into an SE vs. scikotics thing and the early members of SE:Chicago would not agree with this.

Scikotics, when your group gets as big at 50+ members I hope there are people that stand up like myself and a few others because you will have NO control over 50 peoples minds and/or actions. There will be drama, there will be madness, but when show times come, you will rep your name and your area.

I hope that we can join meets in the future and that you will see things from both sides here. Remember, we are both at fault. There are about 50+ SE guys that want to take this "**** photo bs" to the next level but I really just want MY event to run smooth for me, for scion, for continental, and for chicago.

lets all stop this bs and hopefully you guys will see that we are not out to ____ on every fire hydrant... we are out to make our club bigger and better. lets just not get in each others way.

I did just speak with frankenscion. We both agree that this has gotten way out of hand. I can post more later but please know that my post above was not an attack on anyone. I still believe dwestxb has a great product.

But ultimatelly I hope that we, as 2 clubs, can start over on a common ground. Jaydizzle, I would like to speak to you personally. I will pm you my phone number tonight. I would like to try to explain a few things to you, as well as see your side of things

I might get hated on for this, but it is a main reason why a lot of us in Ky never joined SE and why the attempted Scikotics never worked. Both group are not very social at events. Such was the case at Exposed at Mid-Ohio and last year at BOTI. Our small but recognized group has had a positive influence on our area and welcome anyone with a Scion with open arms. Unless you push joining a big group we don't care what is discussed.

I am willing to give SE and Scilotics one more chance at Exposed and HIN:Nightshift. If both groups walk around with snubbed noses, we will no longer try to drive 6-8 hours to an event because it is a waste of our time. We have no problem with road trips, but if favortism is played in the awards, I will make sure to take the trophy personally and see that it is taken apart.

If anyone is lost I will explain. Last year at BOTI, there were two xB with turntables in the back. One was ACTUALLY hooked up and was being used for most of the day as a live demonstration. The other guy had his sitting in the carrying case in the trunk. It did not owrk and was in no way hooked up. he happened to win (in my honest opinion) because he was a SE member. I protested this last year and no one cared to hear my/our groups side of the story.

I know this is long, but both groups need to shape up or else the Scion community in Chicago and other locations will fall apart and cease to ever exist because some people can't put their differences aside. I have been around too long and seen far worse happen.

Thats not true, I was at mid ohio, and our SE crew talked to tons of owners and had a blast with everyone. There were no stuck up noses. If you felt that way all I can say in defense is you must not have tried to talk to us either or we would have spoken together.

in response to another club, the more options with clubs honestly only help both clubs grow, and generate the competition needed to push us to the limet!

 

can I interject here and state that this is only a regional issue and is not representative of these clubs as a whole. Please do not let this scare you away from either club in your area. The best way to find out how a club is, is to go out and meet them. Thanks.

i thought everyone at ames show was very friendly and if we (SE) didnt seem to talk to others (not sure if that was in this post or elsewhere) thats not true either. not to mention there was about 5 of us there and a gagillion scikoitcs and scnrgy. shoot, i went to eat w/ people i didnt know after the show.
as a matter of fact, i talked to alex in iowa afterwards to try and organize a ginormous week of shows and coincide it w/ the one in ames.

not to mention my nose is to big to stick up in the air, jerk making fun of my nose

 

All this has been blown out of porportion!!! I don't have any problem with SE or anyother Scion groups. The problem I have is that I've been trying to get memebers for about 2 months (since I came back from Ames) and I have been successful in my eyes. I really don't care if I only had 5 guys in my crew or if I had 50, its not about the numbers, its about the people and the friendships you make from being in the club!! It just gets me upset when your club, thats right across the street, bad mouths us to no end. Everything is cool now, I have personally talked to a couple SE guys (not about coming over) and everyone's cool.

As i keep saying, we are all here for the same reasons. I hope to get to know you (SE) more and hope you guys get to know us (Scikotics) a little better. Lets make this a friendly competition between us when were at shows and when were all out togeather. As someone said in this post, we will just push eachother to do more mods and have our rivalry at the shows and it'll be fun! I know us Scikotics know some tricks of the trade and I know you SE guys/girls know some too. Lets just learn from eachother and have fun.

I believe the whole way you worded the origonal post was the problem. You came out sounding like you had something against SEC and that this was some kinda of post telling them that your club was better in some way. In the future I would highly suggest keeping your posts to the point and not allowing for persons to take things the wrong way or allow the topic to wander off track. This should not come down to a bitter grunge war like a couple of gangs of kids with nothing better to do than hate eachother. I'm glad this has been resolved and I would sure hope that this leads to a better friendship in the area. Please just let this post and the anger die, it's been a large misunderstanding, there is nothing needed to be fought over.
