its not that bright at the show by the way. only some spots are dark. at least as i remember it

 

They left the screwdriver they used to pry the window out and crack it in my passenger seat with a million tiny pieces of glass. They also used it to pry the radio out of the dash and scratch up the center dash piece. When the officer arrived he informed me that they would not send an evidence tech out because it was too small a crime. I told him that the radio was worth 1500 and it didnt seem to phase him. Whoever took it also left the radio surround plastic piece sitting outside of my car on the ground. The officer was not interested in these pieces of evidence... until I informed him that I took the police exam and that my father is a capt on the CFD... then he went over, scooped up the screwdriver and filed my report... That screw driver is probably in a garbage can right now...
Here is a pic ofter I got home from downtown and put a bag on the window to stop the snow from getting in.

I already had the glass replaced but the window will not roll up and down as fast now. they believe that when they cracked the glass, that they also messed up the track on the window...
I hope this doesn't happen to anyone else...

Sean, seriously man im sorry for what happend ! hopefully something will happen with the insurance claim. Was this on a open street, like was it hidden somewhere ?? I know you said montrose, but im not to familiar with the north side. Something has to happen to at least one scion in its lifetime. Im sure we all have memories from times when it happend to us. Though the scar is still there, Just remember, it can be fixed. U should've gone with the double din. The door would've hidden it, and its not viewable from other cars when your driving by. Dont worry man , you need anything and i mean anything we got your back!! If you need us to kick some a$$ where there, if you need us to kill somebody were there, if you need a back massage mike is there .

Also, is that the only thing they took. They didnt take your ipod or anything ?? , you lock that ____ in the glove compartment dont ya ?? Cuz i remember you locking something in the glove compartment when i was in your car.

 

oh and also .. im assuming you spent the night at your g.f's house. you woke up, and when you left her house you went to your car and realized what had happend ?? Obviously someone knew what you had.

Can the center dash still lock in place ? You can always paint it navy blue.

 

yes I was at my gfs place and found my car like this at 9am...
The center piece snaps in but I will recieve a brand new one because the really did a number on it...
I did lock my ipod and wallet in the glove box and they were there when I got to my car...
and i never drive through that neighborhood with the screen up. i always tuck it away...

and my plans are to get a pioneer z1 which is a double din. I am going to weld it in there if i have to!

 

Damn Sorry to hear what happened to you and your ride! both of you's must be hurting! Them azzez need to be find and given a scion beaten. hope everythings turns out alright...

Maybe your next double din should be an eclipse AVN...reason is good quality and ESN meaning anybody steals they cant use and you have a 1yr warranty theft eclipse will send you a new one FREE if stolen within a yr! WISH you HAD that ONE!

 

you don't have to weld it next time you something like this . speciality screws that's what i use.

The insurance agreed to replace the unit with a similar model since you can't buy new n1's anymore. My plans are to hang onto whatever the send me and sell it... But who knows. I'm just mad that I won't have it for hin.
Merc - they just pulled the radio out. Being a single din unit, the mounting kit is plastic. They didn't unscrew a thing. Just pulled the whole thing out and snapped the plastic.

I gave my stock 06 radio away for free cuz I never thought I would need it. Anyone have an 06 layin around that I could sport till I get a new unit?
