Today the Palos Family/Friendly Days Car Show was the first time that both Scion Evolution and Scikotics represented their clubs at the same event in Chicago. Nothing but hand shakes and congrats between the two clubs today....

I arrived late to the event but I still had a chance to meet the crew of Scikotics Chicago. It was great to see some new people out there as well as some old faces. (I'm still upset you missed the Chi fire exam Pat). John (JayDizzle) was nice enought to take a few mins to get to know me as well as my stance on the craziness that has been going on. (all while feeding his daughter a hotdog. may sound easy but you were not there) He explained to me very well his clubs intentions and I must say they are well on their way to getting some recognition here in Chicago. 4 of their members were there today

Scion Evolution also represented very strongly. We had I believe 8 cars in total there today. It was a last min show for us, but what isnt last min for SE:Chicago? Merc, El Shoe, and myself all arrived after registration, so only 5 members were entered into the contest

I did not stay long, but I waited to hear the first award for a Scion....

The judging was done on a 100pt scale. Based on the appearance of your car, you recieved a plaque counting down from 100.

After the fourth award was given, I rolled up my windows, turned on the air, and got on my way home. I am sure that more scions did win plagues and hopefully someone will post some photos from the days event.

Acutally i think the first event was the Matteson Toyota Show where Carl took first then El-Shoe took 2nd and i took 3rd.

We had both SE and Scikotics. It was all good too.

We even invited them to chill afterwards but everyone had there one thing to do.

Glad to here it though.

I think we might have to do something about Scikotics taking most of the awards though.

Regardless of first or second show, I think this was a first step

 

see sean thats why you can never get married you get all busy doin the wedding stuff other priorities get lost for about a month and by then its too late. but hey it was good to see ya again along with rols and to meet ray and the rest of SE that i had yet to meet prior to my leaving. Arlington Heights Sean Arlington Heights gotta take that test with me. Yes congrats to all on todays show and im glad to see we can both rep our clubs and still be at the very least decent with one another. Well before i ramble on and on and on it was very good to see ya'll.

actually!!
they werent awards!

everyone who showed up at the show and paid the $15 dollar fee got a lil ugly plaque!!!

but it was cool.... hot and the sun was killing me!!!

everyone in SE got a plaque! it was like 8" by 5" lil brown thing that just says thank!!!

other than that...just wanted to say thanks too...

I just wanna say it was good meeting you guys (SE/C) and finally getting on the right page and clear up the confusion between us!! Got to talk to Miguel (sp?) (El Shoe) and get everything sorted out between us and also with Sean (still motion). Every SE guy there was cool and I had a good time!! See all of you at Exposed if not before then!

 

now that we have gone through the first step...

i think that they should bring the cookies and we bring our brownies and just gather around a camp fire and sing...

Congrats to everyone and it looks like SE and Scikotics had a great time.

Really nice to see clubs working together and I hope there will be more and bigger things from both clubs.
