Default My audio system.

I thought I would sort of document the rebuild of sorts of my audio system. I have a set of Polk reference series comps to put in the doors. They will get bi-amped of the Kenwood 5 channel amp I already have in the car. There is a new woofer enclosure in the works to house a Polk Momo 8 inch driver in the rear seating area of the xB. That will be equipped with a plexi window and white neons. The smaller pieces will house the ring radiator tweeter and should angeled along the plane of the windshield when done. 6 inch woofer mounts will, along with tweeter mounts, get a black finish. dynamat will be utilized on the doors. There will be more to come. And I would like this to stay in this forum until I finish the car. This buildup is for my compadres to see in Chicago. Thanks and enjoy. This will take some time. be patient.

After dodging rain storms, I finished the front of the car. here is a before and after using dynamat. Then, a pic of the tweeter mount on the dash. the speakers used are Polk Audio SR6500.

That's all for now except the front stage has much more depth after adding the dynamat. It was much easier to tune with it. the doors are basically speaker enclosures now.

15 seconds to get the panel off. spent about 4 hours doing the whole, comps, rewire and all.
