so as time fly's by this winter and this national meet in ames, iowa is comin close i think we need to get the ball rollin on who seriously is planning on making it and where they plan on staying and what time we shall leave and what not... It does seem far away now but in terms of months we are only 2 1/2 of them away from this so with something this big i think plans need to be made now... i know this is in segl forums but i would think that seem as how many people don't follow that as much then we might get a better response posting here... well lemme know im already set in stone and rooms are goin goin almost gone out there....

no it is for all scions ... Alex call that hotel i posted about in the scionevogl forum.. that hotel is about the only one close that i know about or get ahold of alex out there in ames and ask him to see if there is another hotel closer than that one.... if you wait any longer than there are gonna be no rooms left due to it being graduation weekend and moveout weekend for Iowa state...

I think Alex mentioned in a different post somewhere that that is the same weekend as graduation weekend at Iowa State University in Ames so a lot of the hotels will probably fill up if they aren't already. The good news is that Des Moines in only about a half hour drive from Ames and there are a lot of hotels there.

i got word that ScineryKC and Scikotics are staying at the Downtown Holiday Inn in Des Moines, it's right off 235. and that the festivites on Saturday (5/6) are gonna be ending in Des Moines anyways, so it's a good spot to stay at. it's only about a half hour from Ames too.

 

We should get this going on and try to get most of SE-Chicago to go out there..

well as you may already know im in for sure too + the wife. I've already set my hotel room up through alex from wilson out there in ames.... So you know all rooms in ames are already booked solid the only other place i was able to find was in Ankeny, Iowa on I35 about 20 min south of ames and they only had 57 rooms set... i posted about this in the segl forum with a phone number and if rooms are still available and you have enough people they sounded intrested in possibly giving a group discount you would have to call the woman out there. Her name is Jessica and she is there from 9a - 3p central time monday through friday... the phone number there is 515- 964-2004 rooms were $84.90 + tax per night and the Hotel name is AmericInn of Ankeny, IA. hey bcherry was that you i passed on 135th in Crestwood last Friday?

I called the Downtown Holiday Inn in Des Moines today and they still had lots of rooms. It's only 24 miles to Wilson Scion from the hotel.

we'll have to talk about this at the next meeting.. if people who are going solo want to share a room, it'd be a great way to save some $.
