anyone know where a good tint shop is?

if does anyone have their front side windows tinted? illegal in chicago right? if you do have it done.. have you been caught by the cops..? thanks

 

their is a good tint shop on 43rd and western, as far is being illegal in chicago it depends on the cop, but dont put limoblack on the front windows put some lighter ones

 

any tint on the front windows is illegal. I have mine tinted @ 20% and haven't had any problems, but its summer and I tend to roll with my windows 75% down.

I got mine done @ a spot on 18th and cicero (abc auto glass I think) and I think it looks good. they actually take the windows out the door and the tint goes all the way to the top. which could help in my argument that it came like that since there is no gap at the top like many shops do.

 

^^ yeah i want my tints to be the whole window. yeah umm if was thinking about going 35% all the way around.. except for the front of course. you guys think that would look good. and also whats the waiting period for bubbles to disappear when first installed? and i read you shouldnt roll down your windows when you first get them... true?

 

about a week after u get them in u cant roll the window down and i believe 35% is what i have. its legal in most states and cops can still see in so not bothered

 

I saw bubbles 4 about a week. they told me not to roll my windows down 4 24 hours.

 

damn so i cant roll down my windows for that long.. shoot i dont wanna run a/c gas is getting expensive... damn.. whats the best time of year to get these done? summer im guessing right ?

you live in skokie! i got a ticket there to fix my tint! only time ive ever been introuble for them! so i hate skokie! they also gave me a tix for no front plate!

so....i dont think you should do it out there! in the city! cops got better things to do.... but becareful! i know a good place to get them done as well....
