Are there any scion clubs in Illinois?
i live in bloomingotn and ordered my tC last week. Of course, i have about 2 months before i get it. this hasn't stopped me from ordering the trd leather shifter, hahah!
just wondering about clubs, it'd be cool to chat with some people who already own them, maybe hang out in a K-mart parking lot and lean against my car or something.

we have all kinds of events our next meet is this saturday at the indiana dunes.

 

yeah we have SE Chicago but we don't hang out in K-mart parking lots, most because they simply don't exsist in the chicagoland area, but whatever floats your boat bro...

 

i'm just interested to see how many people out there have done the k-mart thing. not a personal interest.
i'm getting mine tC from scion of naperville, and so far they rock.

We just took delivery of a 2005 XB from the local Peoria dealer. fWe live in Peoria. Just starting to look at sites for other Scion owners and find sources for after market parts for the Xb.

 

you are in the right spot.

 

we go to shows of all kinds, RS*R,Import wars,BOTI, pretty much anything we can schedule in on a weekly basis, we eat often during our meets and its tradition to go on a cruise afterward (usually the whole club goes out on the same path and drives together) things as such, I couldn't ask for a better bunch of people to hang with and I'm, sure if you ever make it up this way you will feel the same...

If there is anyone that lives in the Schaumburg area, there is a huge hang out off of Route 53 and Higgins Rd.
Its at the Streets of Woodfield on Friday, as well as Saturday nights.
On any given night, there could be as many as 100-200 cars there, but as you all know the cruising season is at its end, so maybe check it out next summer!

 

that sounds cool. i'll be at the drury inn right next to 'streets' the first week of November. i'll be sure to stop by. i'd like to see a tc with the trd exhaust and hear that puppy.

I'm 5 minutes from there! I'll check it out next summer. They have Cruisin cars every Friday at the Old Dominick's parking lot in Rolling Meadows too. Mainly old muscle cars.

you can always strike up your own club, I branched off a successful club in NY and now we have chapters all over the country. if this sounds like a good idea checkout the team link below.

i just read a very disturbing post about rattles and noise from the tc. anyone else experiencing this?

 

if you have been experiencing those problem, there is a tsb for it.
just take it in to service and have them perform it.

From what I know, all that has to be done to fix the rattling sunroof is to either tighten or replace a two of the bolts that tighten the moonroof to the roofline. Its a quick fix and won't affect the integrity of the car, its just an annoyance that can be easily fixed.

there's a forum on here about with people complaining about trunk rattle, smelly heat and noisy rides. i mentioned i buy japanese for their fit and finish. i hope the crazy demand for these cars hasn't rushed production into something less than japanses quality.
