Just to be clear the meet is at 4 corners which is located in Downers Grove (75th st & Lemont) in the parking lot where Advanced Auto Parts is. I'm in my green corolla since my tC is still being worked on.

 

Just saw a cement gray tC! Was getting some grub from White Castle, swing back by!

 

This meet didn't work out :/ 3 cars only came. Really the CHI Metro area died?

 

Shotout to scionchicop, SilverPanda & Danny. Thanks for coming out last night and hanging out! Had a good time chillin but I'd have to agree with the group and say that the meet was a FAIL due to lack of participation.

The whole reason I try and set these meets up is to get more participation from the Chicago scionlife community. Even though we only have a few loyal people that come on a regular basis I'll still continue to organize events. My goal is to get a consistent 10+ cars out every event. I'm open to any input or ideas that will get more people out.

With that being said I would like to set up another meet at 4 corners (75th St & Lemont Rd...Downers Grove) this Up coming Saturday which is July 7th. I'll get input from the people who show up on that day and those who reply to this thread to try and put together a meet/cruise later in July.

 

i would be there but my tc still isnt done being worked on so possibly july 7th would be done. but july 7 and 8 is fwd nationals at great lakes drag way (for all those speed junkies) lol but i have to agree chicago area needs to step up the meet game.

 

My tC won't be completely done till August either but I'd be nice if you could swing by so we could all meet you. It's funny you mention GLD because I'm a big drag racing guy myself and normally compete at Import Wars but since my tC has been under construction since April, I haven't been able to make one yet. If your tC is done by the 7th you should come by and once my tC is done we can roll to Import Wars as a group!

You're right the Chicago area needs to step it up and that's exactly my goal. No reason why we shouldn't be able to roll up to any event 10+ cars strong!

 

its a freakin drag to finish a car but the tc is my cruising car sadly my motor blew up so im doing the swap myself and tryint o find someone that will be able to connect my aem ems4 standalone since its a universal harness. but for import wars i have a teggy and thats my project drag car. but due to i have a family things slowed down.

i know a couple guys that like to go to meets but there all honda guys, but pretty soon we can get some thing going on.

 

The shop that's working on my tC can do the wiring harness for the EMS4 for you. Only thing is they're located in Lake In the Hills but their pricing is so sweet that it's worth the drive! They're currently converting my tC from auto to 5 speed, installing my built long block & return system, custom building turbo manifold & inter cooler piping, doing all the electrical wiring for my 6 gauges & painting my tC gloss black! They give a new definition to a "One Stop Shop"! Just let me know if you want there contact information.

 

I have a corolla as my DD but I'm building my tC for drag racing and for doing road courses. We definitely have to get some meets going when we're all done with our cars!

i dont live that far away from lake in the hills i live in elgin so you gotta send me the contact info. im just scared to hack away at my harness and note i have electrical experiance. im just running bolt ons for the scion thats the chick magnet so im hella flushing it all show.
nice i had a custom built turbo kit with the prisision billet sc60 turbo ram horn mani all the works but sadly to say at that time my girl was preg so i needed quick cash so sold everything. i guess out here in chicago the scene now is road racing me personally i like watching it but not to do it. id rather drift a b!***in 240sx .
naw i just got this teggy its silver with meshes. so im doing a ls v-tec set up my buddy hooked me up with a set up that can **** k20's like no tomorrow. lol

last weekend, a family thing came up at the last minute.

 

Ok do far we have zm_br, SilverPanda, Danny (isn't on scionlife but text me saying he'd come) and myself. I know for sure we have more people that can make it out. What happened to the xB guys?!!

 

In efforts to try and get more participation I've PM'd people who were replying to last years meet thread as well as this years 2012 meets thread to try and get more peoples attention.....hopefully we get a few more reply's back.
