Default Good/Neat Places to Eat in Chicago

My girlfriend and I are going to go the improv Olympic next friday and I was wondering whats a good place to eat? I'm not real familiar with chicago so I thought I would ask.

Neither of us are of age to drink so take that in to consideration when making suggestions!

Thanks for all your help!

I used to live in that area...

Well... One of my favorite diners, Salt & Pepper is down the street from the IO. Otherwise, Lou Malnati's is good pizza, that's about 1.5-2mi south. There's a bunch of stuff littering the Wrigleyville/Lincoln Park neighborhood.

Oh, Tuscany is a decent Italian place, just North of Addison on Clark.

So it really depends on what you're looking to eat. There's a good Thai place on Lincoln just south of Fullerton (can't remember the name)

If you digg on seafood, Raw Bar is just North of Tuscany

Clarke's is a 24 hour diner... good place too. There's one @ Belmont just off of Sheffield and another one on Lincoln, just south of Fullerton.

Penny's Noodles is at Sheffield and Diversey

Yea, I mean, there's lots of stuff... I'd vouch for any of the above places ('cept Raw; I hear it's good, but I haven't been)

well... theres cheesecake factory on michigan and chesnut... thats delicious....
really cool inside of there... the walls are crazy...

theres the melting pot on dearborn between ohio and ontario.... fondu is excellent... its very nice and pretty romantic....

webber grill on state between ohio and grand... fire a$$ fancy BBQ... good food, at at very reasonable price...

those are my favorite... the meling pot is a little on the pricey side... cheese cake and webber are very reasonable around 15-20 bucks a plate...

correction -- portillo's, GOOD fast food

couple of questions:
what's your price point per person?
sit down tablecloth, or fast food booth?
close to the improv, or anywhere?

lots of choices out there -- sushi, greek, polish, chinese, mexican, etc

Anywhere within reason, but near-ish the improv.
Price.....I'd probably stop at like $50 a person.
and sit down.

Well thank you all for your suggestions, we went yesterday and ended up just going to the Salt & Pepper, I've been there before and when my g/f saw it she said it was really neat so we went there and she got a grilled cheese. And to think I was going to take her to the melting pot and spend $80. lol.
