Default TRD supercharger at Servco?

Anyone had this done yet?
I've got an 08, they want 3200 for the supercharger and 400 for labor to install.
They refuse to warranty it if they don't install it.
I can get it for 3050 off the net but I don't think I'd be able to get it installed for less then the difference in price.
So I'm wondering how Servco is with superchargers, I know some people have issues with dealers on the mainland not installing them properly. I'd like to know how Servco is in regards to them. I'm seriously considering a supercharger after I put in my axle back exhaust and wanna know if its a decent route to take.
I'm still on the edge of trying to find a good tuner / shop and make the jump to turbo.
Though I'm weary of the cost that would entail.

I thought they were only 2K now?? Price dropped a couple months ago, unless the 08 has a new S/C, but i doubt it.

Ahh. Thats news to me. Too bad ZPI is toast. The Stage 0 put down and added 100+ WHP and only cost about $2300. And easy to install yourself. If i was you, i would look for a "bolt on" turbo and just get a friend and do it yourself

drove the TC with the TRD super charger.. not worth the money.. get any thing other than that SC kit .. the only ting its good for is the warranty if you have it installed by them

It's not even good for that really. From what i've heard, they will only warrant damage to the S/C if it was a manufacturers defect. They don't cover the motor if it blows up or if you have other problems. I could be wrong, but that's the impression that i get.

they are supposed to cover anything with it at all under the drive train warranty from what i understood via scion corporate rep i spoke with today. if they dont, i'm to take it up the chain. so says corporate, we all know what good corp is with servco, they never listen anyways.

(5 years 60,000 miles) or whats left of your powertrain warranty is covered...so your supercharger and engine is covered.
