Got some bad news, got my box broken into today, they didn't take anything, but now my little window just past the rear right is broken out. I was wondering if anybody knew how to go about getting another piece of glass. This piece is right next to the window which goes down and was factory tinted then i put an overlay tint on it. The tint held it together really well though. If you can help me out drop a line please.

 

ask a dealer or call a windsield replacement place they usually do other glass too but with fact tint i'd say dealer

 

when the crackheads "tried" to get in my box by busting my driver window. i called our local scion dealership in hawaii to see if it was in stock. with my luck it wasn't. but i had connections so i got it airshipped in a few days. also tried calling a local auto window shop here and they were outta stock too. i would suggest first thing in the morning calling your nearest dealerships parts department to see if it was available.

 

or if you are like me i wanted to make sure it said toyota on the glass.

 

yep thats what I did on the honda made sure it fit right the first time

 

call the dealership or request OE Toyota glass. Someone broke that little window on my xB. I called the dealer body shop which patched me thru to their window shop and I made sure they ordered OE Toyota glass straight from Japan...

 

ok, i called toyota this morning and got hold of the local glass shop they use, the window with factory tint will cost 185.73 installed then i got to go across town and get it retinted for 20 so it is all good now. Thanks guys

Looks like a good price. cost on the glass through the dealership is around $85 and then install is prob an hours work or so....

Ok, i got the glass installed on thursday, the toyota place here in tyler sends their cars to a glass shop in town for the work. The on sad thing is it is PPG glass and doesn't say toyota on it But it is tinted, i have got to go Monday and get 2 windows retinted because when they were replacing my broken window they nicked my tint on my other window. The guy at the shop told me that he would retint the window they messed up, ok great, only thing is I have 3M tint he put llmar tint on, so 6 out of 8 windows are black and two look brown. But i can't complain because it is fixed and better now. Thanks a million guys for your help
