I don't know if it wasn't , marketed and promoted well enough, or if DFW just dosen't care this year... I know they have alot planned for us... I guess part of my frustration
is that if we don't participate in these events, I'm worried they'll cut back on what they do....
Maybe I just need to not worry about it....
I understand it is a holiday weekend, and people have plans, just hoping for a big presence again.

dont worry robin...my girl liked the hospitality you guys gave last year we'll go to the next major DFW event for sure.

Yeah I enjoyed it too... but what happend?
Is it because its on a holiday?

Was it not promoted well enough?

I admit, I was so entrenched in trying to get my car ready for the show
that I really didn't make a big deal about everyone going...
But then I start asking around, and all my guys arn't going ....
and I look at the list and

No pimp, no Hartfords, no Hank (prolly due to the new born so I understand that...)
no Trophy *****, Ned's out... So many people that arn't attending...
It just blew me away a little.
But like I said, I have ranted enough, nothings going to change so, maybe next year
the DFW goes to H-town will be huge....

I have a theroy though.
We have had SO many local dealership sponsored events lately (that were fun and well put together!), that people are burnt out. Maybe some people just see this as 'another Scion event' I dunno. Maybe some folks will shed some light on this after they get home and surf SL...

Anyhow, I have to go work on my car. So it will be ready for some show some day...

hey i am not boycotting it.
i was so pump up for this, its the reason i got up off my butt to do some more mods. specifically all the lights i put in.

i can't go cause my sister's highschool changed the time of her graduation from saturday morning to saturday evening.

and the burnt out thing might be right. I had 4 "events" just last weekend alone!
2 shows and 2 parties
(btw, i placed in each show and in both shows i was entrant #13. how odd is that?)

 

#13 must be a lucky number....

I here ya TR about the number of shows.( I was worried about that since I noticed all of the different events going on up there).

We would rather throw one huge bash here in Htown. We have raised a huge amount of money from 5-6 dealers in town here to have this event instead of having all of these seperate events every weekend.. We haven't had a dealer event here in town since the Fred haas event. We did have the Don Mcgill Expo Pre Party(?)in April but not sure why.

Anyway, for those that do come, please spread the word when you get back to DFW, cause it will be a blast.

 

I would love to go but I gotta work! Sat. AND Mon.! No holiday weekend for me!

 

I want to go so bad, but work has swamped us and I have to work Monday, it doesn't start until 3PM and goes on late. I would have to head back north at 5pm, I just wish it had started earlier or that I didn't have to work Monday. It will be three events in a row that I have had to miss and I don't think before that I have missed 2 in 2 years.
I also did some under hood lighting for this show. I hope for a successful show and truely will miss being there.

 

I'm going to Tulsa to a show with some of my OK peeps. They been coming down here and its my turn to go there.

 

I know this isn't directed at us Okies but I had intended to go to this event if it was any other weekend besides this one or June 17th. And a lot of us made that clear when they were deciding on dates. Traffic is just too bad to deal with on that kind of drive on Memorial weekend.

I have heard about how fun it was last year and was really looking forward to going this year, pretty much sucks.
