Ok, I did a prelim search and found nothing on this topic (nothing that answered my question anyway)...

Does anyone in the DFW area have....issues with radio reception and their tC?

I have a brand new(ish) '07 tC and I have noticed many of my stations have intermittent static. It's not horrible...but definitely there. It occurs on these stations:

93.3 (the Bone)
97.1 (the Eagle...back FINALLY)
102.1 (the Edge)
100.3 (Jack)
102.9 (mix)
105.3 (Live/Free FM)

The static is definitely worse on, I'd say the Eagle. And almost non-existent on 105.3. The rest have varying levels of static and, while none of those stations are totally crappy, I'd like to know why I seem to get the static. Other cars I've driven in the same areas don't seem to have the issue.

Does anyone else have the static, or know what could be causing it?

 

i got an 08 and i listen to most of those channels....and i havent had a problem yet w/ reception...
did you switch out the antenna or something?

 

Not yet I haven't. To my knowledge it's the one that came on it. They did take it off temporarily when I ran it through the car wash, but I didn't pay attention to what the reception was like before.

 

lol...and i agree on your comment about 97.1

 

Yup I was disgusted with what they did to DFW's staple rock station. It was a disgrace. I'm glad it's finally back.
