for those who don't live close to a performance shop...here's the tentative list of other locations that may be more convenient to pick up the Dallas HIN flyers for $3off at the door...beats paying full price.

I wonder if you get this in, would you still need to pay with the light since you are not really needing an outlet from them.

Just so everyone knows....i used one of these at last years show and it did not work. I was trying to run my stereo, tv, lights, purge and amps. The charger only lasted about 15 min and then would beep because it was loosing power. at that time I decided to pay for the power and have it plugged in. It had the same performance plugged in. after about an hour of messing with it I just turned everything off. I still have it and will be bringing it if you want to use it. Again, didn't work great for me.
what if i just bring an extra battery, i have like 2 good batterys just sitting in the garage.
i dont have nearly as much needed to run off of power though
just my stereo and the lighting...

well whatever i am using is what plugs into a 110v and connects to the12v battery to charge it. is that not the same thing then?
i did some light reading and the charger I have isn't always on when charging, it cycles through on/off periods.
input is regular 120vac output is 12vdc at either 2amps or 10amps. and goes through 5s on/145s off cycles...
i would guess that most chargers would do the same thing? but this charger is an older model, so it may just be that....
and with the on/off cycle it reads like it wouldn't work for what i need...
sorry for all the nOOb questions but this type of thing is news to me.
are converters rated at being able to only work a certain amount of 12v items?
and if so i have no idea how much my stuff is drawing from the battery, not nearly as much as some people.... i will have a 2 amp system and a handful of cathodes and LEDs and the stock lights.... the lights are not much my worry cause they don't draw much power at all but its the system,

^ They are not cheap.... around 300 bucks for a decent one... RV or Boating stores are great places to check them out.
If you are not running a full audio setup or tons of strobes... a small charger works well... mine is constant 10 AMPS... but strobes kill it... so I keep those off until a judge comes... and then just run them for a few minutes, as you'll see my tails pulse with the strobes pulling power
I have to get a full converter soon too...
