Yeah they are stainless steel...but I think I'm gonna keep it that way for now. I heard that you need to remove the front bumper to install the injen CAI, also I hear it's a lil biatch to take the o2 censor off the stock headers.

Yes ya'll could come back to my house, thats no problem..

Eov, the o2 are fairly easy to come out if you do it while they are a lil warm with a lil penetrating oil(Liquid Wrench)

Well I just don't want to mess it up and have to pay like 200 for a new one! So what time is this gonna start at? Should we take anything pertaining to food/drink/chips/whatever?

Well i dont think that it has been decided if we going back to my house of not...

if it is at my house the earlier the better since it would be quite a bit to install..

as far as bringing anything, bring whatever you are drinking and maybe for lunch if ya'll want we can all pitch in and get some pizzas or something.

well....poop! i don't think my parts will be in on time for this but i have other stuff i wanna do so i'll get those. some questions though:

i want to paint my engine cover- what would you recommend i get as far as paint, clearcoat and sand paper?

has anyone changed the parking lights on a tC? what bulb should i get and is there antwhere local i can get it at?

if there are any other low cost (all my money went to the big parts) simple mods suggestions, i'd appreciate it.

Jimmy, how about we all meet at your place at 8:00-8:30?

OK, 8 to 830 is cool with me... those ***** are wanting big installs(headers, springs etc) try to be there as early as possible..

As far as paint, i have used VHT. is meant for the calipers but i use it for covers since the temps get high. and i just spray it evenly no sanding or anything.

Hey Jimmy I was reading here https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=61130 and most of the people there were saying that they waited up to 4 hours for the engine to cool before the tried to remove the sensor.

If want a decent and cheap way just by krylon paint from dupont. I have used this on both of my cars. And as a CHEMIST I can assure you it will work and it shouldn't ignite. If you want it flashy you can then clearcoat it. Some people have mentioned vinyl I haven't seen or tried so it is up to you.

As to cheap simple mods.

Stubby antenna ~20$ if you want an authentic honda s2000 antenna 23 dollars from honda
clear corners ~20$ (cost of the silverstar turn lights)
go to oznium.com/ pick up some cathodes for the interior- their only 6 bucks
You could paint interior pieces now that I would sand and prep.
You could buy LED's from oznium and swap out to get rid of that amber overload.
You could change to colored bulbs in your cabin

If you do everything should set you back no more than 60-80 bucks depending on how much you buy.

Yeah you can do it while is cold too, i done them while they are hot, mainly people wait to get them dont when they are cold so they wont get burned, but i think that im imune to that now. I used to have a perfectly good burn wiht the DC Sports mark on it from when i did a header swap one time. lol. But dont worry man, we will get you taken care off.

Jorge listen to Ken, all those are very good pointer, one thing, if you are changing your corners to clear please have the headlights matching, if you already have HID's then you cool, if not buy the same silverstars for the headlights.

as much as i hate to admit this....

walmart has all the sizes of bulbs you may need and they are pretty cheap. and the specialty auto stores as well but probably cost more.

go here for bulb sizes and wattages (and everything else):
