but it does depend on the manager that is hiring. they were looking for someone to fill the position that i was going for.
once i got in, i knew i was over qualified for the job so thats when i started looking for another position and got my current programming position

i was a mainframe operator before i became a programmer. for me it was super easy once you learn what to do and you do the same thing everyday. it got boring for me. they have not tried to find a replacement for me but i know that they will since many of them are not willing to move to the new data center that is being built in westover hills.
keep an eye on the mainframe jobs. call people if something goes wrong. make backup at certain times. take care of printing reports. some reports are about 1 foot high of paper. do daily balancing of the bank.
not too sure as of yet, everything is up in the air but they say that all IT related people except for local techs are going out there. dont really know when we will know for sure
