Have you heard of the saying: it takes money to make money?

Same situation here...if you want a serious sponsorship you won't get it just because you want free products.

Just think about it, if you were a company like AEM, would you be giving free ____ to a random driver?

this is totally the wrong way of going about it... the way you posted this up, just makes you seem like you want free stuff. and that is def NOT the way you want to come across.

I have a buddy who has dropped 20k into his tC, and he still has trouble getting sponsored...

No, first you put more money into it, sponsorships comes after they see you're serious.

You just want free products, it's not happening. If it does, you've spent a lot of money on it or you'll know it's not quality stuff.

like i said, i have money and i guess you're not getting the point of me saying "i have money", but i would like to get with a shop that may have sponsorship because i wouldn't want to waste my money to a shop that really doesn't really care about my car

I'm not saying you don't have money. I'm saying FIRST, you put money into the car. Very few shops will sponsor your car, shops don't make enough money to sponsor random cars. It takes time and a big build of rapport for that to happen. Even if you were to spend 30000 on your car and just roll up to a random shop, you won't get sponsored.

Are you trying to get sponsored by a SHOP btw? Do you honestly think shops are looking around, "hey we need to find someone we can give away money to."

i mean, if you own a shop and a customer want to drop 10g's on there car... would you be think about the car or the money you would make off of them? but with what i seen is, that shops that have sponsorship are really wanting a great look for the car and not just for that money... if you can see my point?

Oh, and if you don't have this logic by now...I strongly suggest you find out more information on how the business works.

Customers who are willing to drop 10 g's on a car don't need a sponsorship to begin with. Serious sponsorships come from companys such as HKS, ARM, etc.

You don't own a shop or you have not talked to anyone whose owned one because dropping 10k on a car is still not sponsorship worthy. There's more than money behind this, theres popularity, who knows you in the who auto scene etc.

If you're an owner, and a customer comes in dropping that much on a car, you're following the customers orders, not creating your own unless asked to do so, and at this point there would be serious planning ahead of time.

Do some research...

I understand that, it's not a problem you live in a different world. I never said you don't have money or anything...I'm just trying to tell you getting quality sponsorships is not easy.

You've said you had money, so if that's money to spend on your car spend it, everything will come along with it if you take things to the extreme.

bro, i dont think his intention was to "*****" your thread. you just need to understand that gaining sponsorships is not as easy as you make it out to be. it takes money, time and patience. trust me, if it were that easy, everyone would have one. you dont think MVPlaya would want a sponsorship? You dont think I dont want one? I have WAY more mods than you, and you think that makes me deserve a sponsor? trust me, look into it. alot of people who are on here who have sponsorship will tell you it isnt easy.

sorry, had to vent.

the way about going it was kinda weird about going at it, but potential sponser's are lookin for, which carshows's u went to or attend. what major plans u have for your ride. where u want to take it. an out of state show's as well. an yes it does take time an money but if u start winnin at local carshows an out of town show's an the bigger tuner show's then your car wil be reconized. an from there u can see who u like as a potential sponser. an write up a proposal as to where u went wit your car, mod list, trophy list, etc.... just takes some time. good luck wit everything an hope to see ya out at the show's.

Honest and straight to the point. You won't get anywhere with this. First you have to be unique. Your car and the mods on it are a dime a dozen. You're just another kid who's trying to get free stuff. It's not about free stuff.
