howdy im Lance i grew up in houston tx.now i live north in the next county.
im 38 ive had several types of rides over the yrs.i had a 96 s10 and was one of the 1st people to have airbags in houston back in 96.then i did a motor swop a 96 corvette LT1 yup it was fast.now i have a jacked up z71 9''s of lift new 330 hp
crate engine i put in and a killer stereo.

well tomorrow im going to purchase a black 05 xb five speed.the first thing im going to do is install my stereo in it.
eclipse 8 volt pre out head unit
boston acoustic comp pro series componet set mids
custom made kick panels
JL audio 500 & 300
and 2 JL audio 8w7's
im hoping it will jam.haha after all thats pretty much why im buying the xb
its the perfect ride for a system.

im totally new to this so i need to learn alot about the toyota ive always been a chevy
v8 guy.im real handy when it comes to working on cars.i do it all myself.
but this is new tecnology to me.so anyways i wanted to show respect to everyone and make an intro.i like to chat.i used to be a moderator on a switchblade knife collection forum but it shut down due to major compition hacking our site.
i dont get off on talking trash to people from behind my monitor.so i dont like it when people lash out at me.i'll just leave the forum

i didnt know where to post this so i did it in the texas section.haha anyways im online alot and very active .i have a great sence of humor and i know a little bit about

but now days i just want to be left alone when it comes to drama.ya know.

hobbies are cruisin dirt rds and jamin my system,so yea im going to be taken my xb down dirt rds alot.i also have a killer honda crf450x
i got rid of the crotch rocket due to too many tickets and jail.im addicted to wheelies
i can ride'em.for milesLOL.anyways hope to meet some cool people ive seen some of the pix of your rides very cool stuff.good job.
so thats just a little bit about me theres alot more.but anyways im going tomorrow to test drive the 05 xb and hopefully its a keeper.i would post pix but im sure you know what it looks like.haha

anybody out there?
well i went and picked up my scion xb today.detailed it all afternoon
and cruised it tonight,and i must say im hooked.the five speed
is really fun and makes the whole driving experience better
i was very surprised at how well it handles taking corners.i live off of a very twisty road and i have to say it was very fun.now all i got to do is set up an appointment to swop my stereo system into it.oh and i bought some fog lights to install tomorrow
since im cruisin in the country and dirt rds at night.so anyways.i guess i will see if anyone will reply and say hello.

Congrats on getting your xB! I've had mine for a little over a year...still dig it as much as the day I got it.

 

man i got a 1st gen 5spd xB in 06, i traded it in for my 2k7 tC which i then traded for my current 2k8 tC... but to be honest i kinda miss my tC hahaha... but i when i was lookin to trade my 2k7 i went to a VW dealer to get a GTI, they let me take the GTI for a night and i felt like a part of me was missing... i had to go back and get my tC... once you get into a Scion, it creates a space in you that only another Scion can fill... i remember feeling so bad for leaving my Emily there overnight... she had no other scions to talk to... u_u

thanx for the welcome,i hooked up fog lights on it today,and im going to see if car toys can install all of my componets this week,im a little bummed out though.
theres not enough room to put my custom made kick panels in the floor
because my foot sits right beside the clutch pedal when im driving.so that sux big time.my truck has the imaging from the kick panels it sounds like the music
(mids and highs part ) is coming right towards you since the mids are facing you.
oh well i can deal with it.because i know the 8w7's will be amazing with all the airspace.

man im loving the gas milage my truck got like 12 miles to the galon.haha
i have to say it.i love my scion.it has a magnaflow exhaust on it and it has a nice mellow tone to it,and sounds great when shifting gears.and who ever owned it left
monster cables and a amp and pioneer componets in the doors and in the back.
i can give those to my friend.i also have the original window sticker.im the second owner of it.pretty cool i thought.

yep im right in the area.you know the twisty winding rd honea egypt?
its where all the bikes and people go cruisin on the weekend ? well i live out that rd,and i know it like the back of my hand.i used to ride a cbr so i can rip that rd up
and im having a blast in the new ride.

i spent all day taking all my componets out of the monster truck and im supposed to call car toys tomorrow and drop it off.i cant wait man its going to boom with all that room in the xb.compared to a single cab z71.haha who ever had my scion before left two seperate sets of pioneer componet sets.i havent really messed around with them yet to see how they sound.theyre about the same weight as my boston acoustic
speakersand they say 250 watts ,so hell i guess i will put a set in my truck .this whole scion deal has been nothing but good.

...maybe just an in-dash carPC system, an intercooled turbo setup, water/meth injection, limited-slip differential, etc., etc.,.

welp i dropped it off today so hopefully tomorrow night i will be going for a cruise
to test out my new sounds.they said the box they were going to build is going to be
facing the back glass and its going to have a divider in it seperateing the 8w7's
and it will have a port for each side.so i guess we will see how it works out.
btw i have zero patience,,, tonight will be the longest night in the world.haha
oh and i got a yellow top and dig this,theyre putting it in the back , down next to the spare tire.trippy,ive never had a battery in the back of my ride.my truck i have two
and a powermaster chrome 140 amp altinator.anybody know how many amps the
stock altinator in my xb is? im kinda curious.thanx.

 

...approximately 80 amps.
Be careful what all you put on the stock charging system. If you're using the "slash" series JL amplifiers, you may be pulling a bit too much amperage and could damage something.

well i picked it up today / and im taking it back tomorrow,it just doesnt hit like it should,so im going to ask for a new box to be built.the one they built faces up and has to huge ports side by side and it just doesnt hit low like i like.i spent ALOT of money their so hopefully they will work with me.of course you know what theyre going to say.
IT SOUNDS GOOD TO ME MANNNN.and im going to say look me in the eyes and tell me that ,thats all that jl w7's will do.thats b/s. i know what they will do.

they put the yellow top battery get this under the pass/seat.haha thats a first.
and i can crank it up with my lights and fog lights on and my lights dont dim,so i think i'll be ok.thats a good sign.well wish me luck,cause im going back tomorrow and complaining.

oh IS THERE A USED PARTS OR SWOP AND TRADE SECTION.on here maybe something like a used ( cold air intake ).doesnt matter if its scratched up i can sand and paint it.new ones are toooooo much. thanx
