need a good paint shop in houston
anybody know of a reputable paint shop that does quality work with good deal as well? need a place to paint some stuff for me and my bro. thanks!
Winn's Automotive in Pinehurst
These guys build and paint $150,000+ show cars for a living. They can order the exact paint to match your car. All they need is the paint code.
If you're interested, let me know. Jason Winn lives 2 doors down from me and is a good friend of mine. He has painted my interior trim and is in the process of spraying my new rear bumper cover, which had to be replaced due to a fat douchebag who backed into my car and tried to run off!

I'll be looking for a custom burnt orange, candy orange, tangelo orange, or hot lava paint job for a tC soon and I when the time comes, i'll need you to hook me up with the guys at Winn's Automotive if you don't mind
how much do you think that will run me (roughly)? hood not included
do they do body kit fitting as well, as i'm getting the kit before painting the car, or do i have to fit it somewhere else?
I really hope i'm not disturbing you or anything
Kind regards,
Ashraf
Winn's Auto can do anything you like, from simple parts spraying to wild custom jobs! I'm not sure what they'll charge you. It all depends on what colors you go with and what all you want done. When you're ready, let me know and I'll see what I can set up.
Here's a little "taste" of Jason's work. These pics are somewhat old. The car was still somewhat in progress and had quite a bit of the interior out. Even then, you can see what kind of work these guys are capable of! Look closely at the pics of the body and you can see how smooth the panels are and how deep the paint appears! The old original chrome Chevy and Malibu logos have been removed. The Malibu logo that is visible in one of the pics may look like the original, but it is actually nothing but paint! Even from a foot away, the logo looks like the original 3D chrome! This is done with several of the original logos on the car. The engine pic shows a great deal of the custom work that has been done. The firewall and inner fenders have all been filled and smoothed, and everything is chromed. The block has been painted the same color as the exterior of the car. Even the milled lines in the intake, the insets in the pulleys, and the grooves in the wire looms have been painted to match. Those are Billet Specialties pulleys, by the way. Could you imagine someone crazy enough to paint the insets on a $4000 set of pulleys? Jason is. Much of the interior, including the steering wheel, dash, and center console, have all been sprayed to match the exterior. Even the wheels are incorporated into the color scheme!
This car belongs to a customer of Winn's. It has taken countless awards including Super Chevy Magazine's "best build" award at the '07 Autorama, and Best in Show at the Corvette/Chevy show.
I can actually take a tiny bit of pride in the work on this car as well! I did the HID conversion and helped lay the Dynamat!

They can do Dynamat installs, but you'd be better off doing that yourself. The time required to pull all the paneling and roll out the sound deadening would cost you a small fortune. If you've never done anything like that before, I'd be more than happy to lend a hand and help you get it done. It's not all that difficult, just time-consuming.
Thanks for the advice UV7, and when the time comes, i'll let you know for sure
Thanks for offering your help, I really appreciate it
I was thinking i might do that when the car is stripped apart for the paint job
