Default Need some advice and opinions.

I have $600.00 to spend. I am debating getting either some wheels for my TC or a touchscreen indash DVD player.

Which would you choose?

I have a relative that can get me either of these at cost. So either would be less than $600.00

I don't have the model number but it is a Jensen, but not the motorized one. It is the touch screen model with the iPod interface.

I'm not sure I would use the DVD function all that much, but I really like the iPod interface.

I do like the stock wheels, i just don't like that everyone has them..lol!

Where are you gonna get wheels for $600? Would you be re-using the tires you have now?

if you just want the Ipod interface, you could always get a cheaper HU...I got a Double Din Kenwood DPX-501. i love it...it has a USb port in the front.. you can hook up just about anything to it.

My brother in law works for a truck accessory store and can get wheels and tires. I can get the wheels I want for $424 using my existing tires. If I want new tires it would be another $200-$250 depending on the tires. So for both it may be closer to $700.

Ya know I didn't even think about that. Thanks! I like having other options.

Go with the wheels.
Stay away from Jensen! They are crap! If you really want a touchscreen DVD, get something that will be reliable. Jensen, Audiovox, etc., are all cheaply made, poor quality units that are destined for the nearest trash can. Don't waste your money and time.

Thanks guys. I'm leaning towards getting the wheels and I might be able to get a CD HU. Thanks TCtaco I like the way that one looks. I'm gonna have my BIL check on the pricing for that HU. I might be able swing both that way.

The wheels for sure. I agree w/UV7. If you are going to get electronics, then go with the higher end products. Plus, everyone can see your wheels and watching movies while driving spells danger.
