actually thats not possible because if i want to lock my car i need my key.


and if the key is in the ignition and the car is not running the doors don't lock.

i know my damn box doesnt lock when i exit the car an turn it off after awhile... but i do know if i hit my alarm to unlock an dont make it in time to open the doors they relock....

its some weirdness with our engine imobilizer feature. our key lets the car know its in there.

oh yeah i never read the manual or the alarm features that they gave me... i think there still in the glove box lol... still in the black book wit the first aid kit lol.... should look into that .

um...... last i checked the imobilizer is only on the tCs

yeah when I am working on my car I always roll down a window and leave my keys in the floor board

The locks are set up so if you unlock the doors but don't open them within about 30 seconds they relock. Thats because if you accidently hit unlock by putting your keys in your pocket or purse you don't come back with the doors unlocked. It is in your manual. It is a good idea but sometimes a pain when you unlock and then don't get to the car in time before they relock.
