i've been waiting about a month and a week - it's a long time - i called yesterday and asked what was taking so long - the discount tire guy told me they were in transit to the company's (velox wheels) warehouse somewhere in california - he said (discount tire) he should know something in 1-2 weeks. Keep your fingers crossed if not - i'll have to go with something different which i hope i don't have to do. : (

as you can see the whole process for me was amazingly fast. i placed the order last night after 10pm and the supposed to already be here tomorrow! ready to install!

Steph, which set of Velox did you ordered, i know that i tried to order like 3 diff sets and they were all in back order which that might be the case with you. Velox wheels are pretty freaking nice.

Lupe, can i get technical. You said that you would consider the TRD Springs right, well im guessing thats about a 1.something drop, so is a very mild drop, but you do know that by going up in size you also go up from the ground, meaning that if you was to measure your tC right now from the hub to the ground and then do the same once you get the 18's you will see that youll gain more clearance therefore able to scarifice a lil bit with a drop.

Numbers wise, hmm, let say for example that from the hub to the ground you have 6" well with the 18 you might have like almost an inch, since youll gain 1/2 with the wheels itself and depending on the profile tire you can gain another half, so by dropping it 2" you really only went down one since you gained one when you added the wheels.

I think that i confused myself. LOL

 

yea I have all the info I need to figure the exact measurements on what height I will actualy be at (if I was at home right now I could tell you). But the whole process required with putting them in and the only getting an inch or so lower..........
If it will make you all (ur not the only one wanting me to take a drop) happier, I will do more research on it, k?

Hey Jimmy - I placed an order for the Velox VX-8 rims in 18's Gunmetal. Yeah they are on back order - which I don't mind.... it will give me more time to save up some more money to pay them off. If I don't get them by the end of this month (it will have been 2 months) I'll probably get them from somwhere else.

 

Hmm. well 2 months is about right to have wheels order that were or are in backorder, however depending who you ordered them thru it should have been here by now, or shortly. To be honest is thats the wheel that you just really really like, is best to wait for it becuase you wont be happy with anything else you know. But 2 months is a lil too long. Maybe you need to go act all female like at the place to get some priority. LOL.


Lupe, dude, i didnt mean to come out like a butthole dude, im just pointing out you know. i mean it is your car and well you do what you want. LOL. personally i like the big wheels/drop look thats all. And well i have worked with and driven some cars that are about 3" from the ground and youll be surprise what it can clear. hahahaahha.
