Not really cleaning but I got really bored and wanted to do something to my car. I got inside to go for a drive and noticed how dusty everything was so it was time for an air filter!! I haven't done the cabin air filter mod yet mostly cause I just didn't want to spend any money on those stupid filters, but today I was so bored I gave in.

I went to Ace and bought my filter, cut it to size, inserted it into the cabin filter tray and BAM , I'm now sportin' clean air in my car and slowly getting all that stupid dust out! So hopefully when it really is time for 'Spring Cleaning' it wont be as bad doing the interior!!! I even put a dryer sheet in there so it will smell nice too!!

I think this is a good pre-springtime mod, so if you haven't done it yet or notice your ride getting all dusty inside, you should do it!!!

 

I've been meaning to do this for the better part of a year.

ya know, putting a dryer sheet in there to make it smell nice is a great idea!

It must be nice to have all of that free time on your hands . Let me know if it works well. My car always stinks. Shouldn't smoke in it I guess

i just got done doing this!

i used the web filter method w/a downy sheet. works like a charm

...... only problem is that the downy sheet doesn;t smell that great, it seems i grabed some orange flavored one, i thought it was normal scent or fabreeze.
it works for now though.

 

I'm using the fabreeze ones but it gets kinda overwhelming, I think I'll try another flavor. Plus my car was so dusty that everytime I get in it it smells alot like dust too. I may need to change the dryer sheet oftem at first til it smells more clean and less dusty. I shouldn't have waited so long before doing this..........

 

overwehlming or not i prefer the scent of regular fabreeze or regular downy to the "orange-freshmint" that I have now.

i prolly could have waited another month or so before putting in the dryer sheet, amazingly enough, my car still smelled like new car.

i know. smelled different when i was at the store. meh, it does its job.

maybe if you just cut a smaller section of the sheet off and use that. it would be a lot less strong.

Well, after a couple o' days everything was fine, no need to cut 'em, so I'm pretty happy now. :D

 

i figured it would get weaker with time. only the smell gets pretty ugly if your using the heater.

 

done! i used the regular fabreeze sheets...my car smells like clean laundry now
