Wow I just saw the new Scion Commercial on MTV .. and saw a lot of Scions I have seen and met on here....

it actually came out when the dark knight came out. but before hand it was on the BIG SCREEN in theaters across the states'. im not sure if im one of the gold rs5's that are seen. but i know i made it to the poster ad!! an it was cool seeing it on the big screen

 

Lupe and another DFW Scikotic member was in it, and also someone from SS.

 

yeah but most of the big stickers on many of the rides out there that had club names where blacked out. i just know there were only 3 of us rs5's.

 

I know for sure am in the big desert group photo so far. they didnt black out my windshield vinyl cause i am way in the corner, lmao.

 

Yeah i saw a few when they were driving that I noticed... when did they shoot that...?

I did notice the xb RS.2 that has a wild sick paint job on it that posts on here all the time.. and

I even thought i saw franks RS.3 could be wrong..

 

The commercial is great! Now my wife wants a tC...

 

only dfw cars i know that went were me, amanda, some otheres from ss (david and eric and another in a tC)

i know frank didnt make it, Tim almost did

 

it was all done like the beginnig of june in vegas.

 

Yeah it was a badass trip

 

lol thats cause your tc was way in the back from the naked eye the sticker couldnt be made out lol. but the ones up front where blacked out.... it was a bad@ss trip an i would definetly do it again

 

i'd def do it again if i was the guest.
i can't say i wanna give my car to scion anymore after how i got it back from this time.

 

So how did this work .. did you not get to drive your car... or did they come get it...?

we drove to vegas.

they took possession of the cars and promised nothing but proffesional drivers would be using them from that point on.

they gave us Scion Visa gift cards and bussed us to our assigned resort hotels and casino that they payed the weekend for us.

we had fun for the night blowing scions money at casinos and alcohol.

they did whatever to the cars for the ad campaign, and in some instances resulted in various forms of damage to the cars from minor to major. HAHA-funny!

while that was happening they took everyone to a huge desert pit in the ground with lots of tents, where we got a lot of free stuff and food and an open bar. and then a concert with Redman and flo-rida and they unveiled the RS1 xD.

the next day we checked out and hauled all our free stuff to the car pick up point where in i noticed a good $3118.48 or so worth of "oops their bad" on the car.

few hours of filing claims and taking pictures that they then lost, lmao

then we drove back.

some newpapers called it a huge desert rave party apparently.

it was a TON of fun, except for the $3118.48 of course

I wouldn't want anyone else keeping my car overnight. But I guess to some it's worth it. Cool pics!!!!

 

yeah I heard about all tha damages 2 tha cars

 

well they gave me the full amount on my estimate when they didnt have to so there good for that at least.
they scratched up and chipped my paint pretty bad, i would need to get almost the whole car, minus the trunk and driver door and hood, repainted, and they somehow broke the tape seal around my back lip to where it was coming off, no visible damage to the lip or bumper but it was a fingers width away from sitting flush when i went to pick it up.
the first reaction was to bad install but i got it all done at a dealership basically so it was installed spec. and the RS3 tC next to me didnt have any issues with their back lip coming off.

i think there was like 175 or so on the 2 cards that they gave us.

even so i had enough left for 1.5/2 tanks of gas on the way back, lol. gas was surprisingly cheap on our way there even with me having to use premium. and we got THE GREAT JEFF AND CHARLES "THE SCION GUYS" sponsor most of the rest of our gas to and from. i only spent MAYBE 200 rounding up on gas out of my pocket. counting the hotel for the one night it was maybe 300 out of my pocket for the trip.

 

yeah but they did use some ''good'' drivers in the majorty of the scions. but not all of them. mine came back wit just dust. i was one of the lucky few who had no damage at all.

 

ah, dust, their "dusters" scratched nasty into my roof sides
