Default Short Shifter Installers?

I'm aiming to do it myself this weekend, but I was wondering if anyone in the DFW area who has done this before might be willing to stop by and offer some professional advice?

Anyone?

Bueller?

I wouldn't attempt it alone if I were you if you can help it. It can be done, but it really helps to have an extra set of eyes interpreting the instructions. Use these instructions here:

https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=36452

The part where they say to use a dremel, USE ONE. Otherwise, removing that washer-type ring fastener is a _____. That's what took me the longest. Other than that, it's fairly straight forward. I'd help but my weekend is booked solid with the SCCA meet and me moving in a week.

Valley Ranch. My wife and I didn't know any better when we moved up here to suburbanite hell. We both work downtown, too. ugh.

It's cool. The more I look at the instructions this will actually be easier than some I've done before.

At least I don't have to jack up the car and reach around the transmission to unhook anything.

Its actually pretty easy, I think the hardest part for me was removing that washer thingy......I used a flat screw driver, but I got it off eventually.ohhhh and then there's that clip that goes on the tip(bottom) of the shifter, that one is also a tricky one!

It's in and looks, feels and shifts great!

No problems to speak of, really. The washer was a bit of a bi*ch to get off but after a little grunting the rest was cream cheese.

Thanks everyone for you help.

Looks a bit like some sort of...ahem...plug doesn't it?

It's a weighted **** from TWM. It's actually really comfortable to hold in all kinds of positions (pun intended).
