Someone Please Help!!! I'm going insane...
Alright anyone who has any solutions to this matter will be my hero.
A few months ago I got an alarm system installed in my xb at a local shop. The alarm works great, but a few days later I had the Trac Off, VSC, and Check engine lights pop up. The lights will not go away. I have tryed taking my car to Autozone for diagnostic look-up a number of times, and have been back and forth from the shop trying new things to get rid of those damn lights. (this has been going on for a number of months now) From research I have found that it isn't neccessarily the installation that went wrong, but rather that the xb is a very touchy vehicle and it is quite common for these series of lights to pop-up when it is tampered with. however, to get rid of the lights is the question I have. Does anyone have any solutions for this annoying burden? anyone had something similar and found a way to fix it?!
Thanks

have u tried reseting the computer or the ecm.. by unplugging the batt for a few mins ... and hope it relearns with the alarm.. or it could be the bypass module they might have used on your vehicle to bypass the factory settings... i had a prob like that with my old 03dodge ram.. they showed me one bypass and installed a off brand so when i took it back they showed me they made a mistake with the install..
To clear the ECM...
1. Disconnect the negative from the battery.
2. Turn the key to On for 30 seconds, then turn back to Off.
3. Reconnect the negative on the battery.
4. Start the car.
If these lights return, then you may have a legitimate problem and need to take the car to a shop or dealer.

or u can take the neg and pos leads off of the battery, and with the leads taken off of the battery, take them and touch them together discharging the caps of the ecm, but if its a reoccuring problem, then something is tripping that stuff, make sure they didnt cut any wires coming into the firewall that happens everyso often, or if they connect something to the wrong wires. put alarms on all scions and dont have that problem with my installs....yet lol
