Well today I got off of work and was meeting up with my friend who also has a tC so we could put his new deck in and....well while I was getting the tools, I stumbled into my b-day gift. My b-day is friday and i was like hell yeah!!!

anyone know of a good plce to get them put in asap. I know audio and video as well as motor but suspension is not something I like to deal with.

 

hmm, if I didn't just get knee surgery, I would help you out. Sorry about that.

I'm not too sure of any shops in the area which do suspension installs, I'm still new the area.

i would think you could just take them to NTB and get them installed. i dont know what they would charge, but i know they install shocks and everything i would imagine they would do springs as well.

 

I tried a couple places this morning and damn i got quotes from $280-$530. I was like " no thanks'. I guess ill try a few more places if not i went to pep boys, i can buy a spring compressor for 50 bucks....

 

you dont need to buy it, im pretty shure that advanced auto will lend you one, u just need to leave a depost, and wen you return the spring compressor they return your deposit. and spring installs are pretty easy, i think it took my like 3 hours w/ a buddy of mine for his tc. but we were driking some beers and bs'n

It's not really a rental, but more of a loan. Assuming you return it in the same condition they'll give you your entire deposit back, so you end up paying nothing.

I'm the same way you are with regards to buying tools that I need, but really...there's no point in spending money on and taking up closet space for something you'll probably only use once or twice.

I dont mind the pain. I have done coilovers before on other cars but you know how u work on some many cars u dont want to do ur own? im on that phase...lol..but they are on now pics to come.
