not bad i like the beats .. if it was playin at osme party i wouldnt mind listenin to it.. radio wise depends what u like. bt i jam everything so it doesnt matter to me. unless someone rides up blastin some differnt music then i just switch my music up an jam louder.. in all its not bad. an most the scion peeps on in htown have myspace...
i just listened to the last song and all I can think of is 90's and oldschool. Also throwing a few swearwords in doesnt make it legit specially when they are singing about splinter from the ninja turtles, not trying to be harsh, just real.
see splinter and swearwords just dont go together, you wanted my opinion and I told you, I dont believe they belong in this genra(sp) of music, just my humble opinion.

thats what hes askin for general opinion's... depends what u like an dislike.. in all...
on a side note everyone has his/her own indivisual taste .. coming from the west coast or east coast. different cultures collide. and from the south its different too... i still jam oldschool... nothings wrong wit it...90's rap/hiphop down here man its still playing on the radio.

Sublime is old school and I had the cd in my car today, and me saying they sound like sublime is not a bad thing at all. Its a really good thing, they would just have to redirect their direction
.
I could only listen to "This be us" because safari is on the fritz tonight.. First of all, I like all types of music if the music is good.. I mainly listen to metal, but I have an appreciation for all well-written music, whether it be rap, country, hip-hop, whatever..
Remember.. My review is based solely on the song "This Be Us"
My opinion: You need to have a certain fluidity to your over-all sound to make good music.. This is where they are falling behind.. It sounds like they aren't really into what they are saying and it just isn't flowing with the music at all.. Just flat voices over beats. It sounds almost like someone woke them up and stuck a microphone in their face and told them to go at it. There is no power in either voice what-so-ever. Some people just do not have what it takes to be a vocalist, and they never will... no matter how good their lyrics may be, how fast they can say 15 words all close together.. Most people just do not have that extra something in their voice..
I'm glad to see so many people trying to make things happen in music, it's great that these people are out here doing it. But it also bothers me that they have hopes of 'making it big', because that just isn't going to happen.. I'm sure they'll do great locally, people love to hear local live bands whether they are good or not.. And I'm sure that your friend, and others on this board reading this are thinking that I'm just being negative and aren't going to quit trying to make it just because of what I said. That's a good thing, I think that I've heard about every famous musician say,"people said we'd never make it big, but here we are".. Thing is, 100% of musicians hear people say that they won't make it, and those people telling them that are right 99% (or higher) of the time.
I hope that you get what you want out of making music, but if you don't, you'll have had fun trying
.
I'm not trying to be mean in any sense, so please don't take it that way.. I'm just trying to be honest.. Thanks for reading my review!

If he's going for the wacky, old-school white rap, then he hit it right on. For people dissin' the lyrics, didn't A Tribe Called Quest make a song about Green eggs and Ham?
But if he wasn't going for that wackiness, then he's got a lot of fixing up to do. Don't give up by any means. I used to make my own hip hop songs. You really need to take a few months off every now and then in order to get a truly objective view of what your music sounds like. After some time off, you'll hear your music how every one else hears your music. The beats are unique. That's my review.
