Well, it's not an actual MEMBER of Scikotics/Seattle, or someone that OWNS a Scion, but...

Jessi, our "Scikottie Hottie" aka "OSB" has been going through a bit of a crisis lately. She recently moved in with her boyfriend Brian. While this is all well and good, not long after she moved in, one of her LOOOOONG time friends Warren that lived in Alabama had chest pain, went to a doctor, and within a month of them discovering he had cancer, Warren died.

Within a couple weeks of that happening, Brian had started to have chest pain as well so they immediately went to the doctor. (He is in the Navy and works at a nearby base.) It turns out that it wasn't so much CHEST pain as abdomen pain and they found a large growth on his kidney. While they've been able to say, if I recall correctly, that it's an 80% chance at being cancer, they have decided the best thing to do is to just slice him open (from the sound, it's gonna be a HUGE scar), remove a rib, the growth AND his kidney.

If I remember right, Jessi had said the surgery was happening yesterday or today, but just thought I'd let you guys know because it's actually serious enough that Brian posted a bulletin on his myspace saying he had requested a DNR (do not resusitate) order should something go wrong... And even if it's totally textbook, the possibility of an ongoing fight with cancer and just dealing with having a kidney removed is some MAJOR stuff to go through...
