Default Tuner shops

Any well known tuner shops or car clubs in the austin or Houston area? I plan on going to uh or ut next year and will have to move to either one of those towns, and I want to know where to take my car to get tuned, etc..

In Houston, TSE is quite small and doesn't show up to much.
Scikotics has two chapters in the Houston area; Houston chapter and North Houston chapter. Both have quite a few members. The North Houston chapter, specifically, has a member count nearing 40 with at least 20 of those being very active.
As for shops, there are a few tuner places in the Houston area. If you're looking specifically for tuning related to FI setups, there is Stoopid Fast and Turbochargers.net in Houston. Stoopid Fast is very well-known for tuning VERY high horsepower FI'd cars. Turbochargers.net is growing in popularity with several turbo'd tCs running around thanks to them.

dont you mean turbochargers.com? Im on the fence about them, they got rid of a crappy tuner and got a new guy named jim. heard good things about him and just recently iv heard that he is just an ok tuner. I dont have personal exp. with this tuner just what friends of mine that have gotten tuned by Jim. Iv seen one tune by jim and i cant really find a flaw in it to tell the truth.

Same place.
I haven't had any personal experience with them. I only know that there a few turbo'd tCs running around town who have been built/tuned by them. I do know that Kenny came from ZPI, who used to be pretty well-known for their FI support of the Scion community.
Stoopid Fast, I have had some experience with. They've tuned a few of my friends' blown V8 cars (2 Camaros and a Mustang) over the past few years. They know how to squeeze power out of an LSX motor, I'll give them that!

Nah, it wasn't me. I've got a ton going on on Tuesday nights and haven't been able to make it out to that meet yet. You'll know when I do, though. There aren't very many other blue boxes sitting flat on the pavement. lol

unfortunately iv had to clean up turbochargers.com's screw ups with a couple of peeps cars around town recently. Kenny isn't there anymore, he was fired for stealing...imagin that...lol. iv had some exp with turbochargers and it really hasn't been very good. maybe it was just an off day for the new tuner or perhaps other pressing issues were tying them up idk, just not a place that i would want to take my ride. thats just me though so take it for a grain of salt.
