Default West Texas Scions - YOU ARE INVITED!!!

Greetings from Arizona!

We're putting together a New Mexico / Arizona meet for January and wanted to invite any Scion owners in El Paso and the rest of West Texas to join us. We're in the early stages of planning this event and would like to include anyone interested in attending.

We have a very active crew in AZ (you can check us out on Scionetics.com and the Desert & Salt Forum here on Scion Life) and would like to link up with other groups or clubs for future rallies, shows and events.

We try to keep things reasonable but this event will probably include a night or two at a hotel (we'll get discounts), as well as gas and food. Entertainment will be the people and cars that show (along with the goofy looks we sometimes seem to get).

If you want to stay informed on this event you can add your name to the roll-call on our event calendar on Scionetics and we'll keep you posted as plans are made.

Thanks for reading this post! We now return you to your regularly scheduled messages.

HASTA!!

No doubt. You'd think El Paso could generate a little interest though?

I'll contact the dealers there and see if they can generate anything. That's the bottom line for me anyway, to get more dealers involved.

Later.

Sorry you can't be there. Did you see the roll-call on Scionetics? We have 29 Scions signed-up, most from the Phoenix area which is a 200 mile drive to Silver City.

Now THAT'S commitment!!

I'd love to go to a meet out there, beautiful part of the country.
I took my Jeep to a Jeep Jamboree in Red River, New Mexico once and loved it.

Too bad I can't take that much time off work.

Well... we'll have to build on this one and see if we can get together from there.

Our members are usually also members of Scion clubs, all we do is try to organize the local Scion scene... It works, we had about $4000.00 in prizes donated for our last big meet, a poker run.

Get on Scionetics and let's start thinking about a meet in your area.

We have one scheduled for June 17th, just haven't got all the details worked out yet.

I'll have to get on scionetics and check it out.

We're looking at a NW New Mexico or SW Colorado meet. Somewhere near Four Corners for the scenery. This one is being tentatively planned for May/June.

We have a meet/show here in Okla. June 17th and there is one in Iowa a bunch of people are going to in May.

Can't pack them all in too close together or people won't be able to drive to all of them.

Okay... if you draw a big circle on a map, with Tulsa on one side and Phoenix/Tucson on the other, then go to about the middle, you'll find Tucumcari, NM.

1200 hotel rooms in a little old Route 66 town.

I wonder what 300 Scions cruising town for a week-end there would look like?

Inside that circle are:

Phoenix, AZ
Tucson, AZ
El Paso, TX
Albuquerque, NM
Austin, TX (San Antonio is JUST outside the circle)
Dallas, TX
Fort Worth, TX
Lubbock, TX
Amarillo, TX
Oklahoma City, OK
Tulsa, OK
Wichita, KS
Denver, CO
Cheyenne, WY

Conservatively: 10 Million People In The Scion Markets.

There's a HUGE meet in there somewhere!

That sounds like the beginning of a very cool plan.

Cool! You're in charge of planning!

Do you think Texas would support it? I think we could get Denver into it. I KNOW AZ would show up.

I can get Oklahoma to support it, I'm sure Texas would come along too.

It might be a good late summer thing, especially if I'm planning it...lol
I still have to get my nationwide meet in June finalized.

Depending on the time of year you know Texas would roll strong with the Oklahoma peeps.

hey Jon, just for your information, Silver City and Red River are on pretty much opposite ends of the state. Do you still have the jeep? I stull have one, and would refer to it as my xB, but figured it would be totally demoting it, you know "its a jeep thing"
