And I agree there is still a lot of confusion though. If it is you Brian posting then quit using 'trophy *****'!!! We all know David as that.

Also, I have been in the professional world for many years now and no self respecting supervior/boss/ whatever you are would call out their employee the way you now have. I myself am a supervisor and if my employees make mistakes then that is simply a refelction on me. If David made mistakes to the extreme that you say he did then guess what, its all on you buddy.

I'm getting pretty bored with this now and I think everyone is well aware of what happened but this has to be said. I think you could possibly use some management training. And thats not said to disrespect you.... simply an observation. For David's sake, it looks like he might benefit more at another dealership where he could learn the ropes from a mature person who knows how to think before they act & speak.


To David - I wish you the best! And I hope people treat you with all the respect you're due. I certainly am not someone who holds grudges or stays angry by any means and so I dont want to see this hang over your head any more than it already has... However, just my opinion, I think you're going to be feeling the backlash from this as long as you're there... Fair? Probably not.... But pretty realistic I think.... Who knows whats going on in your world with this but I hope you'll come in here at some point and clear the air. Until then... we're only left with what Brian said and with what we all have seen and that still doesnt come off well for you.

Sure we can call one by one or talk to you at shows but then its still a he said / she said thing as the word spreads. With one thread in here we would all know in your words and then perhaps the confusion could end.

wendy....you should call me as well. you want to judge me publically and not honor my request about confronting me privately. alls you want to do is hide behind your little computer screen and pick people off like a sniper. i've got news for you and the others....none of you have the right or reason to treat this like a court hearing and or a public execution. by the way.....have you guys noticed that it is same few people over and over again that post this BS. what does that tell you? oh don't worry....i won't keep you guessing forever. i do want you to put some thought in to it though. i am determined to get to the bottom of this and not let the select few try and work their skills and magic. i am trying very very hard to clear the air, but the select few have nothing else to do but hide and throw rocks. after reading the previous post on this thread it appears that most of you do not even read everything completly. this was my first mistake using this forum. the second mistake was thinking that scion life would help our dealership. it has done nothing but bring us heart ach and pain. be real people, this is all because of 3 elements colliding together at light speed humans, scions, and forums. if this forum had not existed then none of this would have never happened. it's sad to say, but it is true. i vote that personal issues and concerns should not be posted publically. nor should anyone be allowed to participate in drama that esculates into bigger events. this world is crazy. i would not put it past someone to actually do something really stupid like the taliban. maybe i will start a club called the scion cell. or even a scion mosque. this would allow us to come together for fellowship and cell meetings. you guys see my point? we have made a mountain out of a mole hill.

 

dave has offically walked out. dave does not want to address the issue nor does he want to discuss the matter. we consouled him and could not convence him to respond to any of this. you see...when dave came to us he wanted nothing more than to be involved with scion at a dealership level and market car shows and events. we started out with aprils fules day and held his hand, but still gave him the reins and all of the respect from the community. after that event he was all pumped up about the success and was ready to start the next...GREAT...let's do it. so dave approached me with the idea of scion speedway cafe...what a wonderful idea...i'm all in. i then instructed him to start the process and report back to me with any issues and or road blocks. the first issue: 1) the community bum rushed little dave with demands of free food and pay our way and our friends and families way. dave had to revamp and start over with a new event structure. 2) the scion guys get involved. 3) dave gets upset about this and complains to all of us daily about him getting his toes stepped on. 3) i post out of frustration and out of charcter. 4) event paper work is lost...i know nothing about this happening. 5) our scion fuel president representing our dealership obviously does not make it clear at the speedway that our part of the donation was held up and being sent in the mail. 6) scion life members start questioning the itegrity of the company and making aggresive comments towards me personally. 7) i post out of frustration once again. (mainly because of daves father) i am very regretful that i act in such a way. dave still will not do anything to help the matter and says he has already taken care of everything. 9) i find out what's going on just by surfing the net and freak out. 10) we get banned 11) i register from home and try to start the rebuilding phase of this disaster. 12) no one including dave wants to hear the truth, but here it is in black and white...if you don't believe me, then now your questioning my integrity....i have been around the block only once so far in life and i can tell you there is only so much you can do with the hand you are delt. either fold or raise. dave has folded and i....well...i always raise...that's why i am where i am at. i have worked very hard along with my team to be the #1 scion dealer. no one should assume that i am in anyway bad mouthing dave...in fact i am just trying to help get through a sticky situation in life. he chose to handel this matter the same way he has delt with issues in the past....running away from his problems. i will continue to do what i can to help him and his decision does not affect our relationship as friends. if you really think about it...dave or myself have done nothing to deserve this type of ridicule. going back to work...i'll check back later since no one wants to call me personally.

Yeah, that was one bang-up apology you just threw out there! If I am one of the "select few who hide and throw rocks"as you countered, I don't really have time to hide, I was at a car show today at Scion of Ft. Worth enjoying the Scion community and collecting some hardware. Tomorrow I and the other "select few" (and a few not-so-select few) will be at Fowler doing what we do. Stop by and chat us up. We always enjoy a good tale. But in the meantime, try putting yourself in Davids shoes. Is it all as simple and easy as you describe? HE'S THE 18 YR. OLD NEW GUY! You really don't get it do you? And you didn't do too much hand- holding at Scion Fuel day as you stated. I know for a fact that David was responsible for the MAJORITY of the turnout at that event! I was there. David is probably rightly overwhelmed by the events that have transpired and nobody that I know of would want to hold his feet to the fire. Mistakes are easily overlooked if your heart is in the right place, and David has more heart and enthusiasm for all things Scion than most. That's not really what this is all about. Imagine if you will if you and David both showed up at the speedway and you being the professional that you claim to be, plainly explain that you have mailed the money in and then join the Scion community and meet some people and go around the speedway with us. Then, still being professional, you kindly thank the Scion Guys for all their help.( they did kick in an obscene amount of money for this charity) and thank everyone for coming and for the additional donations they made and call it a day. Simple like that. Then when you get to work on monday, you can plan how to avoid all these problems in the futureand learn from your mistakes. I can't see how anyone could fault you for this, and we really would appreciate it and everything would be just peachy. But the REAL problem us masked bandits of the rock-throwing variety are trying to convey to you is no matter what went down, your response was out of line. You keep repeatedly apologizing for David and what David did or did not do. David is not the one people were upset with!!!!YOUR REPLY TO THIS SITUATION WAS BS!!! That's what you need to own up to and sincerely apologize for. Everything else was forgotton like, years ago.... OWN YOUR MISTAKES!

by the way...why don't you realize that little dave has more personal issues than he leads people to believe. i did my best to make him feel significant (something his father does not do) and accomplished. i am not about to come between him and his family, but with his out of control father it is difficult. between you and his father, you 2 really set an example. i have already been emailed by many other dealers regarding this and they agree with everything on my side. after i deal with you next week i am done with all this bull____ on scion life. you guys own it, run it, taint it, and everything in between when it comes to scion life....no one has a chance with you guys. have a nice scion life. if i were you, i would get a real life rather than a scion one.
