Default any XB owners in the Howard County MD region?

what's up guys. I just signed the papers on my 09 xb. I have some parts that I want installed (myself this time) anyone got time to help me out since i don't know much about DIY stuff.

I am currently in Ellicott City. Let me know if you want in. I'd love to see what you did with your rides!

I am in Hampstead, about 30 mins or so away.

Not sure how much help I would be with the audio stuff as I have not messes with that too much.

I have only had my ride for about 2 weeks. Threw some floor mats in and put on a carbon shifter, eyelids are on the way.

When you planning on the install? I might have to swing by and check it out. Might be able to bring someone who was into the whole car stereo scene.

Are the HIDs plug and play?

When the weather gets better i can help with the springs, thats if you want to wait until then xD. HID is really easy to install, probably like 20 minutes if that long. What setup are you looking to have as far as amp and subs goes? in-dash, amp and sub install its not hard, just gotta take time to get it done right the first time (i did all my stereo install when i had my rsx before) btw, i work at goodyear in ellicotty city.

i went with a kit that i found on clubxb.com

hid digital kit for 88 dollars. he was giving ppl a special that were members. so that was pretty sweet. they look good man, but i had some issues with them...

1. yesterday i turned them on and only one showed up. (at 10 am) but anytime after that they both came on. so i duno wtf that is about.

2. i felt that they were showing really really wide, most of the people said that is normal, and one person said that i installed them wrong. so i have no idea what he is talking about. i didn't do anything with the adjustment. all i did was put it in. so i duno how i could have installed them wrong.

any ideas?

No ideas that I can think of off the top of my head. I have never messed with them myself, but plan on picking up a kit.

They might seem wide because we have projector headlights which light up the road better than conventional headlights, once you throw some HIDs on there it just makes it that much more pronounced.

you might have to adjust them to bring them closer to the middle but HID does have wider area so i wouldnt worry about it so much. my hids are wider than the stock bulbs as well. did you install your in dash yet?
