autocross
best autocross series there is. http://www.get-fast.net/nasacross/ A few of us Scions will be doing the one next Sunday.
i autocross with capital driving club. if you're a beginner, they're a very good group.
to enter one, you first, prep your car alittle bit, make sure it can pass tech inspection. just come by, register (non-members have to wait a bit), pay the entry fee, sign the waiver, empty everything out of your car, including the floormats. pass tech inspection. listen to the driver's meeting, walk the course, watch people race, **** a few cones, wait for your heat etc.
recommend bringing a folding chair, a portable shade, appropriate clothing (must wear closed toe shoes for driving), camera. they usually have free water and drinks, and then hot dogs and sandwiches for like 1-2 dollars.
