Hey Man,

I'm new to the scion enthusiast scene. I've only had my tC for about a month but was looking for a local scion group. Looks like I found one. I'm looking to make some upgrades sometime in the next few months, any suggestions????????

I'm not affiliated with any scion clubs yet. I have been considering a few including SE, but I have been quite busy with my 2 jobs and college. That said, I might only be able to meet up once every week or two, and that would probably have to be on weekends. Let me know what days, times, places you were thinking of meeting, and I'll let you know. Thanks!

As an afterthought, I do attend a lot of shows, and I have heard that SE attends shows more so than other Scion clubs in the Baltimore area... any comments on this?

If you like going to shows and meeting up on weekends, then SE is the club for you. We meet up every fri, sat, and sun. We go to all the local cars shows and also travel to shows all over the east coast. SE is a club that has the quality and quanity (100+ memebers in NoVA)! Come stock or modified, were all one big family!

Joining SE is only $40. If you join a club, dont you want to represent the club? The small fee of $40 covers 3 stickers, tshirt, membership card, a few other goodies, privileges to attend special scion events, and lots of discounts from many companies, dealerships, etc.

i'm definetly considering being a member of SE. I absolutely love my tC. I've been wanting one for a while. Since I've got it, I've already been planning all the upgrades I want to get for it. I'm on these forums all day at work. I'd be interested in going to some of the meet ups and checking out some car shows as well.

Currently the MD chapter of SE doesnt really have meets, because we are spread out around MD. which is why i want to get the baltimore area going, and we can do meets, things of that nature. im willing to meet during the week, or weekends, doesnt matter. i just wanna see SE Baltimore grow.

Scott, yes, you can be members of more than one club. but typically its an all make/model club, and a specific brand club. not usually two clubs of the same brand only clubs.

Im down for meets when I can make them. I know SE MD doesnt do much so I follow NOVA and see what they are doing. I'd much rather have a few meets locally even if it is to some meets with other cars or street racing spots.

Good luck with growing the club. I know with Strictly Scionized and Scikotics in the area owners may be a bit split. NOVA seems to have grown due to the lack of other clubs existing in the area, and great dealer and shop participation to back them up. Have you checked into partnering with Russel, Castle or Jerry's Scion in Baltimore?

I do feel your pain with being so spread out. it's rough at times for me to make it up from southern Md to the Glen Burnie and Arrundel Mills meets for Scikotics. Also, do you guys have a Friend of SE or SE Groupie status on your forums? I'd like to get a bit more active on the boards there but am not looking for full membership. I know Viet is on the Scikotics boards as a Scikotics Groupie quite a bit and it really helps with promoting upcoming events.
