plz something in the lower part of the beltway... Columbia is a really long drive up there... maybe something like NoVa or towards the lower part

Heres the deal folks. Meets can happen anywhere. If you can't make it or don't want to make the drive, so be it. People come from all over the place to meet up. Last friday, there was a meet at the Hooters in Rockville. I came from the Ellicott City/Columbia area, a lady came from WVA, and a dude came from the Eastern shore.

We try to spread meets around so that sometimes the people who drive far don't have to for once. This week, we are doin it in columbia which is closer for some of the B'More people. We have people from the RV area who are coming, possibly further.

I understand if you don't want to drive far, thats cool, no worries. Just understand that not every meet is going to be close to you. We have had some issues in the past where the meets were always in one location and some people had to always drive 40 minutes plus to get there while others where just down the street. So now, we are trying to spread it around. Next week, we will probably have something in the NOVA region, maybe Tyson's Corner or something, not sure yet cause we aren't planning for it yet.

And by all means, feel free to post up a meet for those who don't want to drive that far for down in that region. Thats what scion is all about: getting together with great people who share a common interest and enjoyin each others time, company, and cars.

In the next few weeks, I think we should do something at Bowie Town Center or Landover, because that is near I-95 and route 50, just to be fair to the people that come from Alexandria, Annapolis, and Baltimore. There is an Unos in Bowie Town Center and a Ruby Tuesdays near Landover, right by FedEx field.

For the people out west in Fairfax, Chantilly, and Manassas... there is a Buffalo Wing House on 50W. Perhaps that's an idea. Or meet up at Fairfax Corner for Rio Grande and a movie.

If you want something to be near you, just post up an idea. If you don't put it out there, the odds are good that no one else will think about it... but also keep in mind that we should try to make the meets near a highway (I-95, I-495, I-66) so that it's easy enough for people to find, especially if some of them are driving 80 miles.

 

next week it will be in either Reston or in Tyson's corner.

Usually most places are off a major high way or the roads they are on are off majors highways. This fridays meet is real easy to get to from 95.

And thats exactly what I was saying. If there is a place you want to have a meet, organize it, post it up, and if people are able to come, they will.

Last weeks hooters meet and today's red robin/krispy kreme meet have been posted here, SE B'MORE, SE NOVA, and ClubSciontC. So thats another thing to think about when getting people to a meet...post it to multiple places so as many people as possible see it.

If you do Tyson's Corner, my idea would be Fuddruckers off Route 7 and Spring Hill just because they have a wide-open parking lot...

BTW, DaveXIX a lot of us are coming from 270, so you might want to check with other people and arrange to meet in College Park and then hike up I-95.

 

Some of us are meeting up in rockville. I know J, Ella, and Myself are included in that one. I've still got to call Mo. I think we are going to take Noreck to 29. Depends on what goes on.
