Shop is very nice. The lobby has PS2 and maybe 360 now, plasma with DVD, free WiFi and a bunch of tuner magazines for waiting. The centerpiece is probably the dyno cell, which is environmentally controlled with a seperate viewing area, including owner-viewable screens to see what your car is putting down in real-time.

The garage space is always clean and well lit, not greasy or with parts / fluids accumulating anywhere. They do allow customers in the garage depending on how busy it is, but probably wouldn't want you hanging around back there for the entire time they're working.

The staff is friendly and will answer questions, and isn't elitist even if you don't drive an Evo or a BMW. They do get busy sometimes so if you go in the lobby and no one is there, call for someone.

They have complementary drinks and will sometimes order lunch for large groups. However, they are in an industrial park so there is no place within walking distance to grab something while waiting, so order ahead or bring something in if you're going to be a while.

Prices I find are a little on the high side. Their dyno and tuning rates are reasonable but for parts, you may be able to find cheaper online, even from other authorized dealers. Not a major markup, but $5-8 over competitors on a $100 part. I've never had an install there so I don't know what labor rates are like; I do get my tuning done there.

For the tuning sessions, it did seem to take a long time. Probably not the fastest shop but it will be done correctly. If you're using GPS, they aren't listed on older maps. You may want to just follow the directions on their website instead.

I have heard lots of positive feedback about PTuning. Whenever I have money to throw at F/I, that is where I will go.

Are you going to the PA event before/after you go to PTuning?

I am on the fence about taking my super charged tacoma down there. I would love to get a dyno pull and a read out of how its doing fuel wise, leaning out, etc.

Whats the cost of a dyno pull?

how far are you driving? just for a short throw shifter? really isn't something that you need a specialist for.

He has a point. The short shifter for the xa just requires you to remove the center piece, unscrew the shift ****, undo the 3 nuts in each forner and pop of the shifter cables. Install is the reverse, plus screw on the new shift ****. I got an aluminum one with blue blinking leds in it. I liked the feel and would turnthe lights on in heavy traffic to slow down the pack.

How it go? I loved my short shifter for my xa. I thought since stock it felt like moving a stick in a bucket of gravel it would make it worse, but it was better. Makes a regular stick shift car feel funny with all that throw.

Got to see what my job is turning out. Id love to bring my tacoma there with the urd 7th injector and piggy back computer.
