Default ...Cabin Air Filter...

Very good! Enjoy the SALSA.

But be sure to install a CABIN AIR FILTER in your empty CABIN AIR FILTER TRAY.
Do not buy one from SCION for $22, most parts stores will have one for about $12. OR you can make one yourself after you read the do-it-yourself thread in the TECH. section called 'Fabricate your own CABIN AIR FILTER. See photos of how to pop out the glove box to access the tray.

I already have the materials to build one. I haven't seen the thread lately. Does it have reference for the xB glove box removal? I know how to do it for my xA.

Default ....To remove glove box...

Same glove box (XB & XA), grab sides, squeeze sides tward center while pulling glove box assembaly up off it's hinge.
It feels like you are breaking it but that how it comes off.

Congratz on the Salsa.

I found that it is very easy to just open glove box almost all
the way and then pull up and outward on the left side
and it "pops" then do the same on the right side.
By doing this there is no need to push in on the sides.

It feels like you are breaking it but I have pulled my
glovebox out at least 6 times this way with no problems.

To reinstall it's just the opposite.
Push down on right side until it "pops" and then the left side.

The cabin air filter was easy to do mod and well worth it.
It really cut the amount of dust/pollen coming into the vehicle.
