Yea I made about 7 passes in the TA tC @ MIR earlier this year. Trapped at 128mph, but the time was not good for those speeds, my best was a 12.6. At he time the tC was just over 400whp. The car would not get traction until about the 1/8th mile mark. It only accelerated in 4th gear lol. 1st through 3rd gear were only good to limp it to 4th lol.
I don't think we would bring it again, it is not set up well for drag use plus we dont want to risk another transmission before the California time attack. It was fun though

just get some drag radials Mo, they are pretty cheap just slap them on the factory wheels. It may be better to get a set of 16's actually, taller the sidewall the better. From what I have experienced, performance tires are no better than all seasons on the dragstrip because generally they have a stiffer sidewall for handling purpose. You want a soft sidewall for drag racing. Compound is one thing, but the construction of the tire is just as important. Drag radials do the trick, 000 treadwear and soft sidewall
I think 15's will clear come to think of it. My old room-mate with a Celica had his radials on 15's and my friend with a tC borrowed them once for a drag event @ E-town. I would go with a 35 to 40 offset to make sure It clears the caliper, and take note of the spoke design (some may clear and some may not).
