as said if u are coming here for college than u are considered a "Transient" and therefore i WOULD NOT register in VA but u will probably still be sujected to the laws here. cops, at least here in Richmond, are cracking down on the illegal items on tuner cars. as a bit of protection out of state tags may help u to get more "warnings" than tickets. but if u are staying longer than 6 months than u gotta register for VA.
where in VA are you coming to?

Stay registered in MD. VA requires a full safety inspection, emissions, and it has to be done I believe every two years. In MD you inspect once in the lifetime you own the car and then emissions every two years. VA is poop that way. Having lived in both states for some time I'd suggest staying in MD like Black xB and everyone else suggested. I know I am late but what the hell I haven't posted in days!

Definately stay registered in Maryland
If you are moving there for school and school only they probably won't let you register in VA...they wouldn't let me....you have to prove residency first. That and it's in your best interest to stay a MD resident lol
