Default Scion Only Show at Volunteer Fire Department.

Support your local volunteer firefighters and medics!

Ok, I have been giving it a lot of consideration about having a Scion only show at the Arbutus Volunteer Fire Department located in Baltimore, MD. This event would be in addition to the annual car show (all makes and models) that is held in September.

I do not have any dates planned yet. The purpose of this post is to see if there is any interest from Scion Corporate, Scion Dealerships, Scion Clubs, SL members, sponsors, vendors, and others in working with the Arbutus Volunteer Fire Department in hosting a Scion Show. Last year at our 2nd Annual Show, we had 23 Scions attend with 12 from Scion Evolution and 8 from Scikotics. [The total number of registered show vehicles was 179 and our parking lot was nearly at capacity]

I would like to support my fire department and support the Scion community. With Scion's help, we would be able to offer the free food, free prizes, etc to all the Scion enthusiasts out there. Additionally, the firefighters and medics would be able give demonstrations, tours, etc. With a Scion-only show, I would not expect the spectator crowd of 500+ we had last year and so the show staff would be more available to the public.

If you are interested in seeing a Scion-only show at the fire department, please leave your comments, thoughts, and feedback here. You can also PM me.

If you are interested in the 3rd Annual Arbutus Volunteer Fire Department Auto Show, please PM me. I will be posting that event information in a separate topic soon.

Thank you all for your time and consideration. I also want to thank everyone here that has supported the Arbutus Volunteer Fire Department in the past!

I have not heard of student service learning hours before... I know our fire department sometimes has people work off community service hours. If your hours are for your school/college, do you have certain forms with guidelines as to what you have to do with the hours? I would double check with your instructor/teacher/prof. If they are cool with it, I am sure I can set up a training session. Our firefighters and EMTs train weekly on different items and I could see if you and others could be a part of that.

Just let me know and I will see what I can do to help! It would easier for us to sign a form that says you attended rather than us creating a form... that would have to be on your part or your instructor's.
