I second Tenchi and assume everyone I sent there is satisfied w/ there work. Haven't heard any complaints yet. Unless the price is out of your budget. But you pay for good work. I 'll give you the number later its at my house.

The DC tint, lol. There are no shops in DC poop. I went to Winners tint in Rockville/Gaithersburg. I see a lot of people from DC up there removing their tint. I like their work and they are nice guys too. But Black xb's guy might be a little closer. lol. Don't forget to find a good place to remove too, most tint shops that put it on will take it off too. Since you're in DC you'll fail DC inspection with tint on.

Any tint at all. Only what comes from the factory. I have friends who live in DC and get their windows tinted all the time, but everytime you have to go in you have to take it off. Luckly it's only every two years. Most of my customers ride around with 20-5% on their windows. However when it comes time for inspection they usually take it off.

Probably, it's just that every time I have a customer from DC come in and they fail for tint it's either the young guys and gals who have 20% or they say just take it off. IF you've been through DC inspection you'll know what I mean by, it depends on you inspector as to how and why you will pass or fail. As far as 70% tint, that is realy light and you might as well save your money. 20-35% is what most people get in the area, I personally was pulled a few weeks back and given a repair order by a MoCo Popo, I had 20% and new it was illegal already, but when I had them retinted a few weeks ago and asked them to do 35% it looks just as dark. lol.

All I can say is that everyone I know in DC with Tint gets it 20-35% and takes it off before inspection every two years. If for some reason they get pulled over for the tint, you just tell the officer I didn't know, cause the truth of the matter is most people who work at the inspection place don't know. lol

I'll talk with one of the local DC police guys who comes to my shop and ask him what he know the tint laws to be.

OK little update. I talked with a police officer today. He told me it's supposed to be 70% in the front then he said whatever to the back. The one thing he did say to me is that if you have a jackhole of an inspector you might still have problems. He even recommended for me to tell you go through inspection first then have them tinted legally. If you have a problem the next time you go in take it off.
