Oh ok thats still cool. I'm stationed on the USS Enterprise its supposed to be at Norfolk but we're in the ship yards right now. I live like 5 mins from Langley.

 

I've got a friend or 2 on the Enterprise.... and boo for carrier life.

 

Yeah it does suck but now I'm in transportation so I don't work on the ship ever. Just drive 15 passenger vans lol.

Whatever you do stay away from Virginia lol. It is the worst place in the world for military. I transfered here from Jacksonville and oh my god I didn't believe all my friends that told me about this place till I got here. Everytime I go to the Ocean front in Virginia Beach I get pulled over for the same thing everytime(you would think they would know my car by now or even know me by name lol). Oh and the fact that i think almost 75% of the population is military or civilians working for DoD. They got 1 Air Force base, 2 Army bases, 4 Navy bases, ? Marine bases, and ? Coastie bases lol all within maybe no more then 30 mins apart from each other.

 

Yup, it sucks to be a civilian around here too. The job market sucks, the housing market sucks.... Been here over 15 years. I wanna get away from this place....

 

Right? And don't forget the ridiculous laws around here too lol.

I beg to differ... The military keeps the job market up. Imagine how many less jobs there would be if the military wasn't here?

 

Lol yeah Langley the base isn't bad at all. It's just the common wealth of Virginia sucks lol this place is not even a state lol. They make up all kinds of f'ed up laws they want lol.

Yeah just the shipyards alone create 1000's of jobs and don't forget about all military population in the Hampton Roads area we are all consmers of business here. Imagine if every military person just disappeared the economy here would crash lol.

going to ODU, I dislike having the base right down the street. It ruins traffic from 2:30 to 7 every day.
