Default BBQ Joints?

I'm headed down to Memphis and then to the Smokies at the end of July and I need some of you to recommend several kickass BBQ joints to eat at. I have about a month and a half till I go, so I have plenty of time for you TN people to help a city boy out!

Just north of Gatlinburg is a town called Crosby. There is a awesome road side BBQ stand there. Its not always open, but when it is. Its worth the stop.

There are a lot of good bbq joints in Memphis. The Rendevous is good if you like dry ribs (expensive though), Germantown Commisary is really good (their Potato Salad is the ish!!!), and of course there is Corky's (a little over played in my opinion). I have lived in Memphis (until three months ago) since 1985, but have never been a huge bbq fan so I really don't know any of the hole in the wall places that have the best bbq in town.

^^^Corkys is good, I tried that last year I was in Memphis. I have a little over a month to find a few more places before I head out there...

Default BBQ Joints

Calhouns in Pigeon Forge is always good. And if you like Home Style cooking, the Old Mill Resturant is hard to beat, it's also in Pigeon Forge.
