Rockingham dragway this weekend hosted a car/drag show and i decided to pop my tC's drag cherry and run out for the fun runs. To start off with the track was FREAKING HOT! 95 deg F in the shade and 115 deg F in the sun. Only ran a few times. Hadn't been out on the track in a year or so, so i was a bit rusty plus i first off played around with different RPM launches. First run i ran a 17.6 but that was launching at 3k, dump, WOT. Wheel hop from hell! Best time was a 15.9 with a reaction time (R/T) of .326 (rusty) so i E/T'ed a 15.61 @ 86.16mph

In this clip i ran against a white GS-R, but homeboy had no traction off the line. If you notice, he shifts into 2nd early thinking he would grab, but no, only slows him down more. Plus if you pay attention, further down the track he misses 3rd. He was an awesome guy though, he E/T'ed a 15.7 before everything was over. (Sorry for the poor quality. The camera recorded the clip in .mov and i had to convert it to .wmv, used a trial version of a media converter, so yeah....

Looks like fun. How was the show? Did it survive being moved to the rock?

 

/\/\ it wasn't huge HUGE, but it was pretty decent. There were some SICK cars out there.
