had it at the CAFB lemon lot.

it seems the only happening car show in Charleston is the Wednesday show ran by Corvette Club, and thats "LOCALS ONLY" from what my buddy says, he has a '66 Mustang, but he still goes just to get out the house.

i dunno of any good meets.
the camaro club we were hanging with got into drinking & stuff to much for us.

BTW, what are the laws on lighting down there? I have a underbody kit, and cold cathodes in the hang on handles, under the seats, in the trunk area, and in the engine area. Would any or all of these be legal to have on at night?

 

they are legal down here...I drive with my underbody on every now and then

 

as long as they aren't blue or red you should be okay. i've had both and haven't had any trouble but the law does say only cops can have blue and red so it's really up to the officers discretion. i've never been pulled for it...although i did get a warning for blue washer nozzles years ago and in aiken...anyway, i'de be up for coming back to charleston. got a little more done to the ride now and haven't done much lately. get some meet dates and i'll see what i can do

My color set up is yellow so i dont think that I should have a problem. Thanks for the info. I am guessing that it is state wide right? Cause I might be spending a few days in columbia also.

 

im not sure if it is statewide or not but you shouldnt have any troubles with yellow. i do know the tubes have to be concealed. if you can see them from a reasonable distance then its iffy but like i said....ive had red and blue and never had an issue. if you get worried just turn them off.

 

Most you cannot see unless you are in the car, at least I think so. Here are a few pics I took...I can hide the ones in the trunk if needed...

 

if you are driving around the ones outside will probably be okay but they could argue that the ones inside are a distraction to other drivers. same reason you aren't supposed to drive around with your dome or map lights on.

 

That is messed up, lmao. I would like someone to explain to me from the gov how a light inside the car would be a distraction to another driver, but one outside that is easier to see is not. Our state laws are messed up, lol.
