If ya ain't got a ticket for the race, I'd recommend the HIN. Darlington is sold out.

Just outta curiosity, how well does an event like this hold up when theres something big just on the other side of town?

Don't really think nascar hurts the HIN crowd much. But you never know. Besides HIN is pretty weak in Charlotte.

I don't know what everyone is talking about. I've been to HIN the last 2 years in charlotte and it was straight. Last year there weren't as many people because of bad planning. There were like 3 other shows going on 1 in Tennessee, 1 in NC, and 1 SC. That's why they moved it to May this year.

I know I have my room booked and my ticket so I'll be there.

I'll be there, and I've been there the last 2 years, but I've never been impressed in how it was handled. All the local cars were shoved into that dark little back room, which for one makes it nearly impossable to photograph any of the cars. I don't go to see unlimited budget cars from aftermarket companies, I understand these companys basically make the car show possable, but i really think they should find a better way to show the little guys cars. They really should move the show to the new Convention Center downtown, which they will have to next year, since this palce is being torn down last I heard.

I can agree with that. They do put the local cars into a dark corner and with bad lighting. The unlimited budget cars are cool to look at but they aren't real to me either. I just have fun collecting all the free ish they give out. lol

They fixed my grips above. The back room was well lit this year so you could see the cars. Not much to see this year, one xb with some really rough fiberglass & paint work. A few scion corp. cars. The wide body beemers were worth seeing though. There was also a really nice focus, but I didn't take hardly any pictures. Next year may be worth checking out, since they'll have to move to a new facility.

There was still one dark room..that first one we walked into ...not many vendors except one that sold Honda only stuff.......only a few cars were top notch quality...many nice cars though....just not as many as you would see at some of the better shows...

Yeah that as some ROUGH fiberglass on that xB. The blue wide body M3 was really nice and there was a real nice 350Z in the Unlimited budget section. Other than that it SUCKED!!! To tell you the truth I don't think they'll have it never year. I've seriously seen better $hit at a drop jaw show. Now the back room did have better lighting this year and to be honest that's where the hottest cars were. They also canceled the ATL show this year. Not really sure why but it's gone. I think all that's left is Daytona and Miami.

I know one thing I'm not going back next year. I have to come all the way up from Myrtle Beach and if it's going to be like that then I'll save the gas money for battle of the imports at Rockingham. lol
