Arrow Invite from SolaraGuy

Hey all. I'd like to invite you to a Toyota/Lexus/Scion meet.

We'll be cruising the Tail of the Dragon on the border of North Carolina and Tennessee.

Original thread on SolaraGuy. Details still to come. You can reply here or if you'd like to register on SolaraGuy you're welcome to do so.

I'll go ahead and say the 9-10 of October is set in stone. I've sent an email to Fontana Village Resort asking about the possibility of group rates. As well as someone else who had previously set up a meet there for more information on a TSD (time-speed-distance) rally they had done. Also trying to find out how to set up sponsors for things like awards and food for a party Friday night.

If Fontana Village does have availability I'll know for sure if they have a minimum check-in time. If they're lenient with it then I'd say meet up and be ready to go cruise the Dragon at 5PM Eastern. When we get back there'll probably be a party/get together (BYOB) until whenever you decide to head to bed. Then on Saturday I'm thinking the Rally and a car show/audio competition then a final dinner before we all head home.

Again, any input will be met with open ears and arms.

Alright, I just got off the phone with Lacy from Fontana Village Resort. She quoted me $79 for either a room with 1 King size bed for those couples that were coming, or a room with 2 Queen size beds. She set aside 12 rooms (5 King, 7 Queen) but said she had plenty of Queen rooms. I'm open to sharing a queen room with someone and splitting the cost. But however ya'll wanna do this, just let me know. Soon as I get the go ahead and give her the group name I'll reserve a room for myself. Then whoever wants to can either give me cash when we get there or paypal me their share.

Alright. The cutoff date for making the reservation is 29 September. The number to call is 800-849-2258. Group name is Kenneth Hales. Also, they had to take back the king bed rooms, but you can still reserve them on request to the Operations Director.

Just reserved my room. The deposit for the first night is $39.50 and then you can pay the rest when you get there. Looking forward to meeting those who come.

I will be there on either day. I live in Knox but work in maryville, so I am extremely close to the dragon. I also think it would be nice to go cruise and check out some stuff. Need to put the 2010 xb thru the dragon a few times to break it in correctly.

Dang, I need to check the regional forum more often. I'd love to run the dragon once on more than 2 wheels.
