I edited this because I had a bad day yesterday. If you read the two posts I made that I condensed into this single post please just forget my comments.

Not SPAM. You guys are talking about getting a car club going. I have a site that can help. How is that SPAM? I'd do this for anyone. I'm not trying to step on your kyscions site, just help you get some momentum in your area. Even once you get your site up I'll bet I can still help. Just take the offer for what it is man, don't get defensive.

I am the sales manager at a Scion store in Phoenix, I have AN INTEREST in a strong Scion community. Here, check out a Scikotics event for next week. People can click on/off the list and the person that set up the event can email everybody signed up from a FREE utility I built.

If you think one site will build a community then get to it. We started out with a group of 5 or 6 regulars at the meets we had two years ago. We used ScionLife as our meet/event calendar at first, things started to move when I built the events calendar/roll-call on my site. Now, if Scionetics was a car club, which it IS NOT, we'd be the single biggest chapter of any Scion club in the US at 532 members locally. Yet... there's Scikotics, using my event calendar to host a meet at a rival dealer.

As far as the first post goes...We have a site / club for the Cincinnati area. We also do alot of events together.

www.scionati.com the site has been going for about 1 year now.

 

I've been on that one. Good site.

Scionetics is different in that I try to get free agent Scion owners hooked up with clubs or groups in their area. That's why, if you lived in Cincy and posted events on our calendar, other people on the site from the same area would see local events on the main page at Scionetics.

Then, some clubs just like using our calendar and their forums. Like the event at the rival dealer next week here in AZ.

If espeed is your chosen leader and you want him to handle things with us, that's cool too. He'll just need to get a few things clear in his head first.

As for Cincy. You guys are welcome to the free feature on Scionetics as well. The tools (not referring to espeed) are designed to help you pull interest to your club. The idea is to have people in your area to be able to find you easily. If you search for "Scion club" or "Scion car club" on Google you'll get one reason we're able to help.

After all, it's not about who is in control.... it's about making things happen in each of our own areas. BTW, if you're at a dealer we also have something for you (not free though!)

Look. I don't know what I did to draw your ire but "Marketing" is a pre-sales activity. Sales implies a transaction is desired. My club services are free. You, as a bazillionairre biz-wiz, should understand this basic principle.

Also, I did NOT imply you to be the leader of anything. You injected yourself into that role with your initial post and the misuse of the term SPAM.

Whatever your issue is you need to talk to family, church or professional. I'm not here to help you figure out the meaning of life, your existence or my offer beyond what I have already stated.
